In the midst of the many crisis and challenges facing today’s world, MEPs have sounded off the urgent need of setting up a parliamentary assembly in the United Nations.

“A United Nations Parliamentary assembly is a vital component to strengthen democratic legitimacy of the United Nations,” said center-left MEP Jo Leinen, during an international conference last week (17 October). Leinen and ALDE party leader Graham Watson have been on the forefront of such initiative since 2007.

Since the 1990s there have been many calls to reform the UN, but there is little clarity or consensus on the way to change the organization. Some point at the need to reform the UN Security Council, others at the lack of accountability and the need for more democratic scrutiny. …

Sure . . . a Supreme Soviet for a one-world government, that’s the ticket! Of course it would be a member of a rubber-stamp parliament that would suggest a rubber-stamp parliament for the UN.

Here we go! An “elected” World Parliament, where the US would have only 5% of the seats, with the power to tax and regulate us. Obama could be the Secretary-General.

Well, they want to start off with a “consultative body” first, since there's going to be no real legislative power in this body any more than the Politburo gave legislative power to the Supreme Soviet.
Supporters say that the United Nations Parliamentary Assembly could start initially as a consultative body and gradually develop into a truly legislative assembly. …
Suuure, that always happens. (Funny how the US Congress worked from its beginnings, though, without any so-called “gradual development” out of an authoritarian body.)

One voice and the zer0, clintoons, and the lame-stream media would love it, till the lame-stream lost their rights too. Then it would be too late. Poor lame-stream media. They never saw it coming.

One thing you can be sure they won’t want to change or make equal (democratic) is how the UN is funded.

Can you imagine the UN budget funded from the member states on a per-capita basis?

More evidence of the One World Government plans of the world’s leftists.

Time to get the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US.

I have a simple solution for the UN. Any country that accepts our foreign aid is REQUIRED to vote as we ask it to on the occasion that we so ask. If they say no, ping, the pipeline closes.

Second fix is that the UN spending is an open record audited by a rotating list of audit firms on a 5 year cycle for each!

Chances of implementation? A very, very frigid day in the infernal region!

“More evidence of the One World Government plans of the world’s leftists”

>>>Try this on for size: This week at the UN COP 18 Summit, Christiana Figueres, Ex. Secretary had this to tell us- “What is occurring here, not just in Doha, but in the whole Climate Change Process is the complete transformation of the economic structure of the world.”

All as per Karl Marx.
