Why? Because current individual & employer insurance plans do not meet the mandates of Obamacare & are therefore illegal.
The insurance companies had better make it absolutely clear that rate increases are the cause of Obamacare mandates. I’m sure they will.
Interesting that the article is not mentioning the Maryland state insurance fund will also be cancelled... which used to cover people with pre existing conditions that could not find coverage elsewhere. Yes, it was state run... but that’s at least the sort of thing you want a high tax state doing, the state offers a similar plan for high risk drivers.
Wait till next year when employer based coverage is also cancelled.

Time to support a third party candidate in MD, to garner all the employee’s that are losing their insurance.....OH WAIT, since this is insurance of private sector companies not Government employhomiees, they are probably mostly white and mostly didn’t vote for odumbi.
