yes, you are right
I doubt the state will do anything to Anderson’s pension. They should, but he just lost his law license.
This kind of a DA is the poster child for the anti death sentence.
Just saying that if a DA is re elected because of their conviction rate it could cause one to lie.
You cannot change the system to appoint the DA because it becomes a spoils appointment.
I guess carry on with current elected system and send the bad ones to jail.
Note that it is an AP story picked up by Aljazeera. I believe that AP is Saudi-owned.
Yep — it’s DAs like this one that have made a lot of people question the death sentence.
Note that this guy was serving 25+ years and yet the guy who actually did it and another murder as well qualifies for parole in just 15 years.
He should be joined by Ronnie (the a-hole) Earl!!!Who did the same thing to Tom Delay!!
>>What I never understand about these wrongful conviction cases is why the wrong party often confesses to the crime. If I knew I had not done what I was being accused of, there is no way I would sign anything that says I did it.<<
Most of the time it is to get a set prison term such as two years vs the unknown where the judge may give you twenty years. Sirhand Sirhan has maintained his innocence all his life and can’t get probation because he refuses to admit guilt. They told him, admit the crime and you’ll get released on probation. He refuses and remains locked up.
More than likely he is a personal friend of the sheriff and will spend ten days in the sheriffs office!!!
He has friends in low places!!
They need to do the same to Ronnie Earle for what he did to Tom DeLay.
