Your comment reminds me of a well known event from years ago.The 1990's...William Kennedy Smith is accused of rape.Uncle Teddy,Old Wooden Liver,is telling reporters what did (and didn't) happen.A reporter,at one point,asked him something like "why do the Kennedys seem to have so much trouble with the law?" to which he answered something like "well,we're a large Irish family and you're bound to find occasional trouble in such families".

I,too,come from a large Irish family.*Boston* Irish,in fact...just like the Kenndys.But not a *single* member of my large Irish family has ever drowned anyone,ever killed a young girl with a golf club,ever died of a heroin OD,ever been charged with heroin possession,ever been accused of rape,ever been investigated for diddling an underage girl (or boy),etc.Every single deceased member of my family died of natural causes...except my niece,who was killed by a drunk driver (she was blameless).

I haven’t heard...I watched the trial from start to finish (which was this morning at 3AM eastern when the jury delivered their verdict)and didn’t hear anything mentioned about it...and yes, I am a trial addict in need of a 12-step program...:)

I’m expecting life plus the 15 for the obstruction. Simply because he committed the ‘unpardonable sin’ - he embarrassed “the Church”.

I have seen some more transparent reporting thru the years of the Provo Herald...but ya know...
...with journalists ya gotta a wide range...many liberal...tendency to be more conservative in Utah...some willing to lay it out there...others who have heard the "faith-promoting" lines from the Lds General Authorities (mostly about explaining Mormon history)...and realize, they, too are "writing history" as it unfolds

Watched almost the entire trial and waited up last night for the verdict. Thank the Lord this jury saw to convict this scum.

He has some other charges coming up. Some women is suing him for touching her inappropriately and something else I can’t recall right now.
