This is nothing less than defacing property, and is a crime of vandalism.
“This is nothing less than defacing property, and is a crime of vandalism.”
It is, indeed, vandalism, and let’s hope that anyone doing this is caught and sentenced to jail time.
Reading this, I have a sense of Deja Vu all over again. I have a sense of Deja Vu all over again.
Pennsylvania also has a mandated sign with print font and size set by law.Haven’t seen one yet!
Bonus! We get to read the article twice!
This is one of those echo articles.
leaving a sticker is definitely not tortious interference with business relationship
Its a twist on the union tactic of listing businesses that support them even if the businesses don’t.
If I was the business owner I’d let the courts make that determination.
“Tortious interference . . . may occur when a first party’s conduct intentionally causes a second party not to enter into a business relationship with a third party that otherwise would probably have occurred.”
Leaving a sticker is definitely tortious interference, if the sticker is offensive to a broad swath of the population and likely to be interpreted as an offensive stance taken by the business owner. It’s for the courts to decide, but as a juror my inclination would be to hold the vandal liable not just for the cost of scraping off the sticker but also for economic damages based on lost business and the maximum legal punitive damages based on the obvious malice. This woman is lucky to get away with just losing access to a good restaurant; she could easily and justly have lost everything she owns.
Slimy, lying liberal followers of Satan (Alinsky) do not see boundaries to their conduct.
Boundaries are only used to damage your opponents.
The first time I read this I said “Wow!” Twice.
Me too. Me too.
This shows how incredibly stupid the left can be. By putting up fake signs all over, the anti-gun loons are providing a ready-made excuse for someone who brings a gun into a real gun-prohibing venue: the defendant can just say that he or she thought it was just one of those fake signs people are putting all around town. Worse, such a mistake could lead to a police over-reaction which could have unfortunate consequences.
The word trouble-maker fits those anti-gun people with their own form of stick ups.
So is it illegal to cover up No Guns Allowed stickers with Guns Welcome stickers?
There needs to be a “pro-gun” sticker, that needs some careful design to indicate a gun friendly business, without being puzzling. That is, it’s a bit harder to portray something as welcome, rather than prohibited, in a way that is easily recognized.
Please post a picture of the sticker.
I will be on the lookout henceforth.
