Remember what Jesus said, render unto Caesar what is Caesar's - our Caesar happens to be in the White Hut right now and is running the show. Pray, ask God for direction - we are to hate the sin, not the sinner. Educate as many as we can in these final days that are ahead of us as to who Jesus is, who the God of the universe is - remember the God of Abraham, Jacob, and Isaac is who we honor and worship. No one can take that away from us.
What has happened to our country's morals? It's citizens are engaging in sodomy and having their disgusting method of achieving orgasms jammed down our throats as normal, sanitized into what is now known as an "alternate life style"
I abhor the term 'gay' to describe a sodomite lifestyle that is totally repulsive to decent human beings.

If the gays organized a customer boycott of the baker this is OK. Or if the Christians organized a custormer boycott of a different gay baker, this is ok.
But it is not ok for the baker to refused to serve gays when there are plenty of alternatives.
And if it were a gay baker refusing to serve Christians, that probably would have been ok too.
The double standard here stinks.
There is a conservative group of lawyers that these people need to approach to help them fight the ACLU. This needs to be battled out by the big boys and taken to the supreme court (not that we can count on them to adhere to the Constitution anymore) and get this resolved. Perhaps the SCOTUS will deign to read the Constitution far enough to remember what the first amendment means.
Our Ceasar is We The People. Obama is a usurper and his power is not rooted in the Constitution. We owe no loyalty to the man. We are not bound by any moral or religious code to render anything to Obama. He is neither or leader or our ruler. We owe our allegiance to the Constitution.
I have had, do have clients with same sex attraction. Like you I will not assign the label “gay” any longer. I find ways to help them navigate the court system without compromising my beliefs. I also in one case encouraged her to hire a liberal lawyer but she wanted me. I told her that what she had done was a poor way to build a family but that it having been done, we had to focus on the children. Long story I can’t repeat. In any case, I didn’t refuse to help her, I focused on the children and feel good about the work I did. I’m not sure how that translates to making wedding cake. I guess I make the cake but let them put on the topper and any other decorations that they want to. Its a cake for crying out loud. Its not the priestly blessing.
I remember in HS, some girls baked a nice cake for an outrageous "teacher", complete with ex-lax icing.

Who says they have to bake a good cake? Are they going to bring in judges from the county fair to rule on how good it is?
By the rationale of this particular ruling, would not the owner of a soul food restaurant be legally obligated to cater a wedding of two klan members? Or a Jewish deli owner the wedding of a pair of neo Nazis?
Or you add the “ Jesse Jackson Secret Sauce” to the icing....

Exactly. Issue will be resolved over time, without courts intervening further. Potential here for backfire, actually.

Most of us , if we were refused to have a cake baked for us would merely go to another baker.

Like I said in a previous post on this same subject I would have spit in their cake and had the last laugh. Delivered it with a smile.
Interesting perspective as a business owner. Perhaps along with selling a cake and making a profit the business owner should seize an opportunity to talk about sin, our savior, and salvation? Maybe the baker should put up a sign (a warning label) that says - “CAUTION: We’re a Christian owned business, and customers may be exposed to words and wisdom that could save their eternal soul.” So when Bill and Bob walk in looking for a cake, maybe they hear something that will resonate with them? Maybe a seed is planted that later keeps them from making a decision (such as parenting kids) that affects others? Lastly, and stealing from another thread, let Bill and Bob know that the proceeds of their cake purchase will go to counseling for people with their orientation or some other conservative Christian organization.
Usually when we see a “double standard” or “hypocrisy” in the left, it really isn’t.
They have a single agenda and standard, and it is consistently anti-Christian.
They won’t admit it fully... yet.

I would accidentally use baking soda instead of baking powder and use a tablespoon of salt instead of a teaspoon. Might be some other mistakes along the way.
