I’m confused. Last week Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) said if she could vote for Obamacare again, she would. Now for some reason she’s completely distancing herself from it?
If you are to believe this ad, President Obama lied to her constituents. Not her (via Politico)

But there’s just one problem here: in 2009 Landrieu herself said if Americans liked their health care plans, they could keep them. Oops:

The ad spot above is deceptive and misleading. It puts all the blame on the president, when in truth she built support for -- and ultimately helped pass -- Obamacare. At the same time the ad paints her as a hapless bystander who (ahem) had no idea millions of Americans would lose their health care coverage. And now, of course, the good public servant that she is, she's working hard to “fix” a “glitch” she never saw coming.
I'm skeptical. From Guy’s piece last October:
In September 2010, all Senate Democrats, including Landrieu, voted to reject a plan Republicans said would have killed Obama administration regulations that now have resulted in the cancellation of insurance policies.
Her ad implies she didn’t know this would happen -- which is exceedingly difficult to believe given what you just read. Republicans were ringing the warning bells for years. Democrats ignored them. Now she’s in deep political trouble, so what does she do? She runs ads foisting all the blame on the president of the United States.
I wonder how he feels about this.

Turns out she’s lying about the lie about lying.
The “solution” she’s taking credit for is Obama’s too little too late announcement that he’d “let” insurers continue the policies. Most of the states and insurers have declined.
I’ve been predicting for a long time now that Democrats would eventually begin running away from Obamacare - and by extension - Obama.
Just watch. A stampede is coming.
She should show some anger! Come out and say “ The Damn yankee Lied to me—just as he lied to you! If he comes down to our state toss him in the river with the Gaters! I’m done with the Poltroon!” That would be more like it.
She is so defeated... just watch. People over in LA are not stupid nor ignorant and the entire Robinson Clan will go after her like they do beavers.
Every election, Landrieu turns into a small-government, pro-life Reaganite in her campaign ads.
The gullible right-leaning types fall for it, and the numb lefty masses pull the lever by the “D” and she always manages re-election.
This got old years ago.
I pray you are right, but feel you are wrong, though not stupid or ignorant in LA, the people have not been privy to the truth about liberal progressives.......unless they read free republic.

Sen. Pryor (AR) recently ran an ad extolling his Christian virtues. Result: he dropped in the polls like a stone.
Hopefully a similar result will accrue to Landrieu.
Their CAMPAIGNS will be running away from Obama and Obamacare,
but they won’t do a single concrete thing to oppose it.
I thought it was funny that mary is not running that ad in New Orleans..out of fear of angering her black base..can the GOP run her own ad in the Crescent City?????
If you want to defeat Landrieu, you must pray for a deluge to hit N’yawlins on Election Day.
All of my friends next door in Louisiana are awake and mad as hell.
