Only the GOP could throw victory into the jaws of defeat and be proud of it.
This is the essence of RINO.
Doesn't agree with it but will support it.
Have to support it because, well because. Oh! Because not enough 'control'.
I know Hatch said this but really any number of RINOs could have said the same.
They haven’t read it, don’t know what is in it, but they’ll vote for it anyway.
Useless A-holes, the lot of them.
Well of course. Those fancy cocktail parties in D.C. can’t be missed. And no RINO wants to have his feelings hurt by screaming NY Times headlines criticizing them.
How convenient.....
I'm guessing that more GOPers will come forward to allow some 'rats up for reelection to duck accountability for this tax and tax, spend and spend, elect and elect operation.
Primary AND look for thied-party candidates to support if they win their primaries.
Yes, we’ve come to that. Nothing else will stop the spending.
Boy, that Hatch is a real piece of work. He’s the proof that ‘primarying’ is not enough. He lied his way through his primary and that’s the model RINOs are following.
The GOP is throwing OUR victory into the jaws of defeat so they would be very proud of that.
They deliberately did that because Collins is the biggest RINO and safest from a primary.
Flake? Flake was one of the most anti-spending members when he was in the House. What happened?!?
Yes, weve come to that. Nothing else will stop the spending.
I am as upset as you are with this deal and I agree with fighting in the primary for the most Conservative candidate who can win in the general election. However, voting 3rd party will only elect Democrats (other than Lieberman, name a third party candidate who has been elected to the Senate in recent history). How will electing Democrats stop the spending?
Look, the GOP WANTS to raise spending.
They needed six to vote “yea”, six they got.
If they needed twenty, they would have twenty.
And it’s always the same few losers...
“Boy, that Hatch is a real piece of work. Hes the proof that primarying is not enough. He lied his way through his primary and thats the model RINOs are following.”
I was hoping that the Utah GOP would do a “Bennett” on Hatch last election, but Utah is like a lot of midwestern states, although the religion is different, the resistance to change is about the same. Urine and Flake (AZ) are both Mormons FWIW.
1. Just one instance of a conservative third-party candidate throwing the election to a Dem may end the donors’ and ipso facto the establishment’s support for “punching conservatives in the nose”. They only pay for results.
1b. One win by a conservative third party candidate WILL end Republican support for spending increases.
2. Within 6 years the government may not have the credit or the political ability to increase taxation to increase spending anyway.
I’ve always opposed the idea in the past but now I think the situation merits it.
Also the business donors to the RINOs should be punished directly.
I think some in the house could go.
It would be good to see 4 or 5 RINOs go in the house.
Democrats taking over the house of reps is a fantasy.
Whether the house GOP has 225, 230 and 235 makes little diffence if RINOs keep surviving.
“Hatch said. ‘But sometimes the answer has to be yes. The reality is that Republicans only control one-half of one-third of government.’”
A mind is a terrible thing to waste, Hatch.
I don't understand that one. He went far left as soon as he hit the Senate. The next time he is in town I am going to ask him what is going on with that, and make it clear that I won't vote for him again.
Which state has the worst RINO backed judges?
How many liberals have Murkowski and Begich let on to the courts?
What about Lamar and Corker?
Who did McCain and Kyl let on to the courts?
