of Americans are standing at the ready to throw A&E to the curb. Were hearing thousands have dumped the channel from their TV packages, unliked their Facebook pages, removed their apps and taken back product purchases. But voting with the wallet may not be that easy. Turns out Nancy Dubuc, CEO of A&E Networks, is in charge of quite a web. Nancy Dubuc is President and Chief Executive Officer of A+E Networks, encompassing A&E®, Lifetime®, HISTORY®, LMN®, bio.®, H2, HISTORY en Español, Crime & Investigation Network®, Military HISTORY®, LRW channels, as well as A&E IndieFilms®, A+E Networks International®, A+E Networks Digital® and A+E Networks Consumer Products®. She became A+E Networks third CEO in the companys nearly 30-year history in June 2013. Thats one heck of a reach into the mainstream entertainment industry. In fact, this means the same person in charge of Duck Dynasty (ultimately) is also in charge of Pawn Stars, Counting Cars and the rest of them. On one hand this may make it more difficult to make a statement stick. On the other hand, those wishing to make a statement have more shows, show executives and contacts to reach out to with comments of displeasure over the discrimination of Phil Robertson. -
You have to admit it is hard for them to squeeze in the Las Vegas programming between endless reruns of American Pickers and dumb UFO shows.
Me too. I stopped watching the Military Channel when Lou Diamond Phillips cut John Wayne’s “Alamo” where Emile Sand got his from Crockett with Bowie’s knife.
Most of those shows are now on the upper tiers of TWC - which we don’t get because the programing just ain’t worth it.
In a sane world that would be true
She’ll get shuffled out. Will take a bit, but they’ll replace her.
Reprise - How about these people as a basis for a new reality show? Check out the guy with the steak knives in his nose! I just don’t get it.

American Pickers is another of those shows which must cost almost nothing to make.
When the History Channel does one about the Bible, they must have the worst production values possible. Aside from being almost totally nonsense, when they have an actress portraying say, the beautiful Bathsheba, they have some woman who is about a 4 and who looks very used up. They also will have about half the actors who are portraying the Israelites, be Negroes. That just really doesn’t look right.
Yes, the quality of programming is very poor in general. It's hard to believe the national dialog is being driven by a silly reality show.
The national dialog is not being driven by a silly reality show, it is being driven because a man paraphrasing scripture has been fired from a silly reality show for it.
“Not Guilty.”
No more schnapps for you.
You are going to have to pull the plug first. They will not go to a la carte until their bottom line is hit. What is their motivation if everyone continues to pay for the current cable package deals?
I pulled the plug and told them I wouldnt be back until they offered a la carte.
Until they feel it on the bottom line, we will be stuck with the current system.
How about a little quality? A must every Christmas. Definitive. And that soprano - Gundula Janowitz?
