WEST READING, Pa. (AP) A terminally ill girl who received support from thousands of Christmas carolers outside her home over the weekend died early on Christmas morning, her family said.

Prayers for this brave young lady.
“She was murdered by society.”
No, she died or a disease.
“I will forever hate the majority of adult humans on this planet.”
Then you should seek out professional help. Being a misanthrope helps no one - especially the misanthrope.
We are not forcing you to stay here.
One would have to believe that the majority of adult humans on this planet wouldn't be real crazy about you either.
Yes and what if God hates the majority of adults? Why He would not have sent His son Jesus the Savior.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
They showed up to feel good about themselves and brag to their friends that they were there. That is the only reason...that and try to get on TV.
Excuse me... I not only live in this area but I happen to know many of the people who loved this child, prayed for her, held fund raisers to help with the families mounting expenses, organized the caroling event on short notice and today grieve her loss to us for nothing more than to show love in a careless world... You are an a$$hole...
While I AGREE with you abut the “vermin” in society....even IF all of the “wasted money” had gone to “research” there is NO way to know if the outcome would have been different. ..
Because life is not about Heaven on Earth.
You should seriously consider getting some help with that drinking probl.
To the family, I’m sorry for your loss Especially on the day we celebrate the birth of GOD’s son, but she is with GOD. RIP and God bless.
Some videos. . . .
Laney Browns Dying Wishes Fulfilled- Ten Fold! . . . this is a short news report that gives some details about the girl with leukemia, Laney Brown, in West Reading, PA
Laney Browns Wish [West Reading, Pennsylvania] . . . a short video of the event
Christmas Caroling for Laney-Dec. 21, 2013. . .this is a longer video of the crowd that formed. Near the end it shows the girl waving to the folks from her window.
I’d like to know the racial/ethnic composition of the crowd. It would be a great photo if it showed Americans, black, white, yellow, brown, red, etc. all singing to comfort a dying child.
If you see any such photos, can you tell us what you see, and where they were posted.
There are a lot of good Americans out there who look past race, ethnicity, gender, and economic status in order to help one another.
That is the story the media often refuses to cover in depth.
My father died of liver cancer and my mother died of Leukemia, so I understand the loss, but for one so young, it is much harder to accept.
I saw the 4 minute film from in front of Laney’s house. Forgot whether they were white, black, etc.
Sure looked like a good “American” crowd to me. I’ll settle for that on Christmas, or any other day of the year.
That’s what makes us “special”.
I watched the last video you linked, and now I can’t see straight. What a beautiful little girl, to have a hand in this blessing, of thousands of people from all walks of life coming together in His name, for the love of a child.
Yes Max, the crowd was an American quilt. Americans are still shining the light of God. Satan tries to extinguish, or at least conceal that light, but darkness cannot extinguish or conceal light. It can only emphasize the light. Praise God!
Rest in Peace, young Laney.
Delaney Brown asked for CHRISTmas carols. Frosty the Freakin’ Snowman is not a carol, nor were any of the others this crowd sang. Did the secular bastards ruin this girl’s last wish with a craptacular PC list of songs? These people are garbage. If I was there, believe me, Christian songs would have been sung.
Don't abuse people without checking your facts a little. There are plenty of people who deserve criticism, but this group are not it.
Bump, me too.
I too hate the vile evil creatures that do horrific things to innocence's, but I trust that goodness will be rewarded, not on this Earth but in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Thank you for the correction. I went by what I read in the Scranton Times. Bob
