I'm glad they got jobs 'n no offense, but that looks like a state prison...

We are a small electronics manufacturing firm. We lost acontract to a State Prison for a nickel a few years back.

And we allow our workers to have stools! And cushion mats for when they do have to stand.

Well, why not bring back agricultural jobs too why they’re at it? Nothing like going back to the good ole days of sledgehammers and scythes and living off of black bread and vodka.

What about the government’s destruction of the value of the dollar?
.....
imho the dollar is going to be going up for the next couple of years because of fracking oil and gas in the oil patch.

did the fed make fiat money? did the fed create 10 trillion dollars ex nihilo from nothing. yep

here’s the balance you have to understand.

what the fracking revolution has done is create about 50 trillion dollars worth of value in the ground for the USA. That is to say there is now —because of fracking —suddenly 50 trillion dollars worth of shale oil and gas backing the dollar. This value was created ex nihilo from nothing.

CHEAP ENERGY...

That is, and always has been, the key to industrialization.
......................
agree.

And it is the bain of the liberal enviroNazi treehugger.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
nah they just don’t like carbon. Howver, there is considerable movement on the left to embrace nuclear power for one reason or another; usually because its non carbon based. but also I’ve heard the likes of Bill Gates say that cheaper energy is the key to a successful future.

This is something that most sensible people would agree with.

Well America has a huge problem with unemployment coverage.

We are 17 trillion dollars now in debt, and that number is rapidly increasing.

America need jobs.

The wage differential is too high. It trumps transportation costs.

No. It goes way beyond transportation costs. The cost of all the idle inventory that is on a ship on the Pacific Ocean is huge.

In the clothing biz it is not uncommon to get 6 months of stock at one time. If there is a problem with what was manufactured you are toast. There is also uncertainty about what the customer is going to want. Because you have to order a huge quantity of product at one time if no one wants the item then the low hourly worker cost doesn't help.

17 trillion, 220 trillion does it really matter since the Treasury and Fed are monetizing the debt? Nope. It doesn’t matter until the USD loses reserve currency status. That’s why a socialist dictatorship and totalitarianism is coming. People will be too angry and too poor to not be controlled. When it happens they’ll already be in the cage.

Fracking is such a wonderful thing. It helps to counter the destructive forces of the government on the dollar and has allowed us to reduce our CO2 levels with the use of more natural gas.

I don’t buy the argument that CO2 is a bad thing. nor do I buy the argument that CO2 causes climate change. imho what causes climate change is mostly variations in the sun. followed from time to time by volcanoes and more rarely extraterrestrial objects like comets and large meteorites.

Within the last year I’ve noticed a significant decline in quality control for foreign made clothing, especially from Bangladesh, and especially for well known branded clothing, not off brands.

I will guess QC has become an important factor in repatriating some of our textile production.

Frankly, I don’t think we are more than 10 years away from a HUGE transition from humans to machines in the clothing business.
