Bill Nye “The Science Guy” will debate founder of Creation Museum in Kentucky

It’s a debate that will surely end with a Big Bang.

Bill Nye “The Science Guy” will square off with Ken Ham, the founder of the Kentucky Creation Museum, in a February discussion on the subject of teaching children evolution.

The spiritual showdown, which is unlikely to with either man relinquishing their firmly-held beliefs, will take place on Ham’s home turf of Petersburg, Ky. “Having the opportunity to hold a cordial but spirited debate with such a well-known personality who is admired by so many young people will help bring the creation-evolution issue to the attention of many more people, including youngsters,” Ham said in a statement.

. . . . . .
“Bill Nye really doesn't understand science,” Ham said in the video, without a shred of irony. “Bill Nye also has an agenda to teach children not to believe in God.”

> I’d love to hear Nye debate Ravi Zacharias on this issue.

Ravi is brilliant.

He might be more merciful and graceful than Ken Ham, but the results would be the same.

A difficult (for laymen like me) but interesting read on a Rabbi and engineer’s writings on time:

Please don’t bash until you’re tried to get through the whole thing...

Think larger. What WAS before the Universe began? Explain an endless eternity with no beginning and no end without God. Explain a Universe that has no dimensions and is endless in every direction. If Time and the Universe have a beginning, or an end, what was Before and what is After? The only explanation is a God. Science is finite. God is infinite.

Are you familiar with Humphreys' work on gravitational time dilation? Starlight and Time

I followed this debate years ago. He was always willing to answer his detractors.

“The Truth Project” by Focus on the Family is the best thing I have ever watched to debunk the left from everything from science to the constitution.

Here’s a trailer to first part of science

I know, because God tells me in his word how we all started. I take him at his word.

Bill Nye is no scientist. At most he did a really cheesy kids science show in the 90s, and then he fell off the radar for over a decade.

Then the kids then that became the hipsters now, “ironically” made him popular again. Now he runs around being a bitter little leftist hiding behind the nebulous term “scientist” to make it seem like his outlandish views have some sort of official backing.

He is the “science guy”, so it has to be true, right?

He and that other internet creation, Neil Degrass Tyson, are 2 people I immediately ignore whenever they start talking.

Makes me miss Mr. Wizard. He would have never allowed himself to be cheapened like this for political agendas.

While I agree scripture supports creationism. Some of our fellow Christians may not have read or studied in detail the Genesis account. I was a believer 5 years before I studied Genesis inductively and became a young earth creationist.

“Ham’s museum has put on exhibits that claim the earth was made in a couple of days roughly 6,000 years ago.”

This is a false statement. Ham does not believe that the earth was made “in a couple of days.” He believes it was exactly six days.

This misrepresentation is to purposely make Ham look like an idiot.

He cannot answer the question:

How did life start?.............

Neither can Ham. All he can do is give his opinion that the Bible tells him how.

It’s a shame that Bill Nye is such a lefty. When my girls were young, we enjoyed his show.

I doubt that Nye's political agenda is any less pronounced than Ham's agenda is.

Oh, believe me, the creationist guy ranks so low the science meter, that it’s almost a waste of time even having to point it out. ;)

It wasn't exactly 6 days, wasn't the first day separating light and dark?

How many days to make the Earth is the question, the answer does not appear to be six.

evolution has never been proven despite simple single celled organisms that can be observed through millions of generations in a short time period, NOT ONE bacterium has EVER changed into another

Jesus did not grow and harvest grapes then tread the winepress and ferment in turning the water into wine...it was an instantaneous miracle.
