Candy Crowley: If I’m Unemployed or on Minimum Wage, ‘Why Would I Become Republican?’

On CNN’s State of the Union Sunday, host Candy Crowley asked a question of Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wisc.) that should offend people on both sides of the aisle.

“If I am an unemployed American…or if I am a minimum wage worker… why would I become a Republican?” (video follows with transcript and commentary):

(video link)

CANDY CROWLEY: If I am an unemployed American and I hear from Republicans that, “Yeah, you know, we should go ahead and do that provided we do the following three things,” and it’s a caveat approval of extending those [unemployment] benefits, or if I am a minimum wage worker and I find, I see Republicans who say, “You know what? It's artificial, it messes with the marketplace, it might mean some teens can't get into the job market,” why would I become a Republican? How do you message that in any way to reach out to those who are disinclined to sign up for the Republican Party?

Doesn’t Crowley know that she indicted the Democratic Party as one that is basically buying votes?

So someone that’s currently unemployed or on minimum wage must support politicians that promote policies that hurt the very job creation that might lead to them having better lives?

And if Republicans aren’t willing to support such failed policies, it behooves such an individual to be a Democrat thereby potentially condemning him or herself to mediocrity and possibly lifetime government dependence?

Clearly, Crowley has forgotten that in 1980, a great deal of unemployed and minimum wage workers voted for Ronald Reagan because they realized Democratic policies weren't helping them.

As you would expect, Walker was ready for Crowley’s socialist view, and expertly countered it: . .

strange how every democrat drives up unemployment while killing industry and jobs

it’s almost like they get more political power as more people enter the welfare lines... almost as if it’s a plan... hmmm....

The Free Sh*t Army Votes...

And it’ll keep on working until they run out of other people’s money.

Or perhaps until the Chinese call in their IOU’s and evict us from our own country.

Why would you vote Republican? How about if you don’t want to stay unemployed or stay at minimum wage?

The unemployed drawing all kinds of welfare and the setting upward of the minimum wage are two of the powerful weapons the communists Democrats have to win voters. And this kind of weapons have worked extremely well in the past. America is finished. The communists and the corruption has been building for many years. Washington has killed America.

Hey Candy...

If the American healthcare system is completely destroyed by a bunch of ignorant, libtard Democrats, why would I continue to vote Democrat?

That’s, of course, the answer. But if the Pubbies ever regain power, will they return to their free market ways? Selling out the middle-class has been very good for these people.

Why? Because Republican (or rather CONSERVATIVE) policies would help you correct those deficiencies. More jobs available, more potential for advancement beyond “minimum wage” status to middle class and beyond.

The problem is that too few of today’s Republicans insist upon conservative policies.

So if I was a Democratic party strategist why would I want you to get a job?

I did work at minimum wage, but I never expected to stay there. Where does this idiocy come from?

I also had a minimum wage job when I was a teen, knowing full-well at the time that I would not have a minimum wage job for long. Now I have two teen daughters. My elder daughter had a minimum wage job. Now she makes more than minimum wage. My younger daughter currently makes minimum wage. It is her first job. She sees this as a short lived situation. Knowing the types of friends my children have, I am certain that they are not the least bit concerned about minimum wage. They are concerned about a job market where they can have careers after they finish their schooling.

This idiocy comes from people that have an entitlement attitude. Candy has been given her position in life based on entitlement quotas, threats of lawsuits, and political correct BS. She's not on TV because she's intelligent. She's not on TV because of any God-given talent. And she's certainly not on TV because she is good looking. Candy fell out of the ugly tree and broke every branch on the way down before she did a face plant on a rock - hence the brain damage.

And if my family is dual income both making a “livable wage”, lose our health insurance, then forced to pay on a sh%%@ exchange site that charges 1000 a month, why would I become a Democrat??

from the mouths of idiots...

but she does raise a valid question, and it is one that conseratives (note, I didn’t say Republicans) need to be prepared to answer, even in their sleep.

Dear Candy:

BECAUSE you are unemployed or on minimum wage. Try to improve your life or stay a Dem. slave and destroy your life and family.

Sincerely,

Reality
