RNC starts negative ads in 40 media markets

The Republican National Committee began running ads in 40 media markets Tuesday mostly targeting incumbent senators who supported President Barack Obama’s health care program. Billionaire former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, meanwhile, gave $2.5 million to help Democrats defend their majority in the Senate.

The early action suggests Republicans see the president’s signature domestic achievement as their way to keep control of the House and perhaps win the Senate. With more than 300 days remaining before Election Day, both sides are looking to set the agenda before voters start paying attention.

“Obamacare is going to be the issue in 2014,” RNC Chairman Reince Priebus told reporters, signaling the central committee’s main message heading into this election year. …

I hope they didn’t get any contribution money, and I also hope that what they have, they have to spend in states where the Democrat incumbent is weak, and not protecting RINOS in other states.

I’d like to see us conservatives pick these other RINOs off in their primaries.

Half of ‘em will likely be aimed at TEA candidates, either backhanded or overtly.

Only problem is that the ads are all against the Tea Party.

Or might as well be.

Obamacare on one side and “income inequality” on the other. I like that fight. BTW, another person I know had their small group plan dropped (no longer offered by the insurance company, so the “mandates” don’t apply) and they were tossed to the ACA. As usual, more limited coverage at more than twice the price.

Why doesn’t Bloomberg just become a Democrat and finish with this dishonest charade? I am glad that Blasio disrespected him. Blasio represents where the Democrat party is today, and Bloomberg is still supporting them. They deserve each other.

If justice prevailed this would include those RINOs like Cornyn who undercut Cruz' attempt to block ObamaCare by filibuster.

Billionaire former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, meanwhile, gave $2.5 million to help Democrats defend their majority in the Senate.

This assmonkey had the brazen clackers to run as a Republican for NYC.

He then lied even more, calling himself an Independent.

No, it is obvious, from his actions, he is a typical liberal Democrat. Overreaching government, gun control, globull warming, banning everything in sight... this guy is a Poster Child for liberal Democrat behavior.

Now he even gives them money.

You mean become a Democrat again? He switched parties back in 2001 in order to ride Giuliani’s coattails into the NYC mayoral office, after all. Since 2007, he has been “independent”, too.

Why doesn’t Bloomberg just become a Democrat

He did. He is.

I don't care what lies he tells.

When Democrats run ads against the GOP it’s called hard-hitting, and of course when the opposite occurs the media calls it negative advertising. The media is sneaky with their bias. Just one word can change the context of an argument.

The GOP certainly had the brazen clackers to accept him as one of their own, knowing what he was. But then again, that was the GOP-e shedding their mask too.

I love the way these are dubbed “negative” ads. Never saw that word in press when Dems trashed Republicans.

How about getting a court order against texting out threats about telling your friends whether or not you have voted, or telling you which of your friends have voted. Even though it is public information, I think this use of it for political purposes is probably unlawful. I would love to see the RNC challenge it.

That's Karl Rove's job...with several of his *conservative* groups.

RNC has decided that Obamacare is their one trick to beat Dems, but they will take a position against abortion too just to keep so-cons on board.

Talk of marriage or illegals is off limits.
