Or was planning on doing some fishing during his lunch break. If he was good , the net fisherman I befriended said surplus fish could be used to barter for other needed material or given to relatives. Might he have a relative on the island who would appreciate fresh caught fish
spear fishing. Iirc relies on the tide pools left by receiding waters. Walk out on rocks unless he was spearing fish in a dive. Where was his spear?

(bartered for one from my net friend. Took it home to condo cleaned it wrapped in ti leaf and grilled it. Best fish I’ve ever eaten)

‘SO if we go with your first premise: keeping secrets and people dying should we expect some unfortunate accidents in the near/ distant future?

Motivation to be apart of this. 1. $$$$$ 2. loyalty ( particularly if you/ hour group don’t want to be part of or feel threatened by an organized group - like the government! Think of it as the HI version of the French underground)

Re: landing. Wasn’t the pilot not registered with the airline but a last minute replacement. What’s his background? In the movie I’d use a military-special force trained stunt pilot. Photographer says they’ve become good friends. I’d have them serving together years ago as part of a team. In fact maybe others on board could have been united this way in a previous war a brotherhood -A team reunion Another sub plot. One more death defying mission for the death defying (maybe once rediculed team)
The photographer taking pictures for his dad who’s in a wheelchair and can’t take part
The plot thickens!’

Very creative! Your ideas just keep coming.

The main thing such a plot has going for it is the successful Alinskyfication of anything ‘birther’. Somebody higher up on Team Barry realized from Day One that there were just too many lies, forgeries, contradictions & anomalies w Obama’s records/stories to pass muster. So, rather than attempting to make their case on factual, logical grounds, they resorted to ridicule and mockery. The advantage being, ridicule and mockery are fact and logic free; i.e.: their basic purpose is to skirt facts and logic completely.

The upside for your plot is obvious. Suppose one of the players, perhaps Puentes, decided to come clean and tell the truth. The answer wd be, ‘This is just the latest iteration of birtherism’. As soon as it was characterized that way, it wd be mocked & ridiculed [by the MSM, anyway] and that wd be the end of it.

Or so it seems to me. Meaning, your plot cd actually fly w an Alinskyesque twist. A little disturbing to contemplate, yet most likely true.

GOOGLE IMAGES LINK

If you click on the above link you'll see a much clearer image of the man in the brown shirt sitting on the wing.

After several tries, because the site drops out, I was able to capture it and post it here...

There he only has one chamber of his life jacket inflated, with the other one flapping in the breeze. In a later photo he has both chambers inflated. He didn’t have two life jackets; he had one life jacket with two chambers. The story about Kawasaki giving his life jacket to Puentes because one wouldn’t hold Puentes up is made-up.

The story of Kawasaki not being able to see any of the cushions he put out there seems to not be true either, because there was a cushion that was right there between Puentes and the main body of the plane when Puentes was filming by the end of the wing. Somebody must have been holding onto that cushion, or else maybe Puentes’ body itself kept the cushion from drifting away.

A lot of construction workers wear long sleeve shirts. In some companies it is mandatory.

Yeah, I think so because the only other person with gray hair is Kawasaki and he wore a white shirt. Looks like this gray-haired guy is wearing a dark (black?) shirt.

But there’s also somebody coming out of the plane in this photo, with life jacket already inflated and a black shirt on. By the process of elimination it would just about have to be the 70-year-old guy because the guy across from Fuddy (Yamamoto?) had a reddish-maroon shirt on.

Seemed like the older Asian guy (70-year-old?) from the other photos - the guy whose image was distorted to look like he’s got flames on his face in the image I showed on my blog - didn’t have his life jacket on but was holding onto it.

But this guy who is backing out of the plane, with a blackish shirt and his life jacket on, looks when I lighten up the image like he might be the same guy who in an image a bit later, in that same area, right behind Rosa, has a darkish tearaway t-shirt on and no life jacket around his neck. You can see the tag of his shirt. But he’s got very dark skin. I’m presuming it’s the Asian guy because that’s about all it could be. I wonder what happened to his life jacket.

Could someone have gone back into the plane to get a missing life jacket?

The impression I have from looking at that image collection, is that it was your typical disorganized panic situation with most of them floundering around like sheep and it’s a wonder half of them didn’t end up in Davey Jones’ Locker...some with no jacket, some with a jacket half inflated, some wearing their inflated jacket, and look at Rosa Keys; she’s finally got a jacket on and there’s no air in it what-so-ever...I have the impression that the pilot may have said, ‘we are going to get wet’ as was reported, but what he should have said the moment the alarm went off was:

EVERYONE PUT YOUR LIFEJACKETS ON IMMEDIATELY!

Mind you, that all depends if they could hear him from the cockpit. He would have had a microphone, surely? It all seems as if they thought they were on a bus, and not in an aircraft, and once the water started to pour in, some of them DID reach for the lifevests...and some didn’t, they stepped down the stairs into the briny without one.

And then comes the difficult part...working out how to inflate the jackets; for those who didn’t know how to, it was a little late to wish they had read the instructions.

Kawasaki made it sound like he was the last one out, and when he got out the water was waist high in the cabin, so it’s doubtful that anybody could have gone back in, after anything.

But Kawasaki had thrown out the seat cushions, and at least one was there in the triangle between the end of the wing and the cabin. I think MW3 might have been holding onto it. Something was keeping it from drifting off. And later on when Puentes took a selfie, he’s holding onto one of the cushions, so either it drifted just like him, he swam to it, or he kept ahold of it.

It’s a good thing Holstein and Puentes were helping people figure it out. And it’s a good thing Kawasaki threw out the cushions.

“.......because the guy across from Fuddy (Yamamoto?) had a reddish-maroon shirt on. ....”

In the video capture of the passengers in the cabin, isn’t the person with the reddish shirt sitting across from the sleeveless shirt person and not Mrs F?

I couldn’t tell what color shirt the person across from Mrs. F. was wearing.

It’s hard to try to align the people, so you have to go by by who is in front of each other on the right row of seats. Jacob Key is directly in front of Puentes, and the guy with the reddish-maroon shirt is directly in front of him. So the reddish-maroon shirt must have been across the aisle from Fuddy. There’s one screen capture I was able to get which shows just a little of the guy in the front seat on the right side, across from MW1, and he seems to have gray hair, which would make it Holstein - which fits his description of trying to get a different door open and not being able to.

The placement of the door is a mystery to me, because Puentes didn’t film people going past or around him, and yet it seems like the door at the back would have required it. The door hatch that was opened had a window on it so it could have been by Jacob Key’s seat, but then how was there a walkway for them to get out? The seat would have been in the way. Unless the seat folds up? I don’t know. It doesn’t make sense to me. The escape sequence is muddy, and I wonder if a lot of what happened there was edited out, to hide who all was in the plane.

I was going by who was on the left, going from puentes row toward the front.
Seat across from Puentes, we don’t know who was in it.
Then Ms key w stripe shirt.
Then Ms f,
Then no- sleeve lady.

Then on right we have puentes,
Then light patterned shirt,
Then someone with a notebook on his knee
Then a reddish shirted person....

Does reddish shirted person have a notebook on his knee?

If so, then grey haired guy would indeed be in front.

I will look again .
