He's so arrogant he probably believes that we don't. In his mind, he's smarter than all of us. But only in his mind.
So he must be racist about himself. Is it the white side or the black side that is racist.
If he did, he would probably blame the stairs. They were probably constructed by a racist who hates the idea of a black president walking on them.
Around here (NorCal) it's "smiling faces."
Number 1: Obama is not black. Nothing black about him, except some of his chromosomes.
Number 2: By practicing race baiting continually and setting race against race, he has set back race relations in the United States at least 75 years.
Number 3: With his bogus jobs bill and rise in unemployment and cataclysmic health care plan debacle, he has harmed the economic and medical well being of Blacks throughout the United States.
Number 4: Americans had been looking forward to a Black president, not the president from Hell, no matter what color the president Hell.
Racism plays a big part - he and his fellow racists have disgusted much of the Nation with their overt racism...
“Racisim”? Guess who has caused the largest divide between the races, it sure as hell hasn’t be the whites. Odumbo has set race relations back for close to a hundred years thus emboldening blacks to go over the edge. The worse is yet to come. Lock and load folks.
ping, per our discussion
If Remnick asked, "Aren't most of the people who oppose you motivated by race?" then a response that some people may oppose him because of race and others favor him because of race doesn't seem to be entirely out of place.
It's the kind of answer politicians like -- not exactly an affirmation, not exactly a negation, not especially gracious or ungracious, more a brushing away of a question the politician doesn't want to answer than an actual response.
Of course, that may not be the context, and the blogger may be right about this -- it might be Obama hiding behind race again and lashing out at his opponents -- but that's not the only answer. If he really wanted to lash out, he could have gone further.
Some politicians avoid the New Yorker because it doesn't let their remarks stand as written, but works them into contexts that are the writers' own creation. To be sure, Remnick and Obama are on the same side politically, but Remnick is hung up on a particular narrative here and he's going to write his article to reflect that story.
It is clear as crystal that 0bama is a racist and a whining excuse maker.
