Exactly, you should always assume the other driver is an uninsured illegal with nothing to lose.

With the sort of person we’re talking about here I’ve always figured that I’d rather they be in front of me where I can keep an eye on them than behind me.

I move over for them whenever possible.

“I eased my pistol out of the holster so that it would be a quicker grab and avoided two more brake-checks.”

FYI: Dangerous tactic for ccw holders to place their handgun on the seat if they are preparing for possible self defense use their firearm.

“During the collisions Special Agents Richard Manauzzi and John Hanlon both lost their revolvers that they had each placed on their seats for quicker access. While Hanlon was able to draw his backup five-shot S&W J-frame to use in the fight, Manauzzi did not carry a back-up gun and spent the rest of the gunfight looking for his revolver.”

Good point.

I made a holder for my center console that keeps it secure. I suppose a rollover would dislodge it but if that’s the case I’m screwed in any event!

There was a story of road rage on the Houston news last night. The aggressor was a white female city employee, a lawyer I think. A guy cut her off and she followed him for 2 miles followed him into a bank(?) and threatened him with a handgun.

Now that is road rage!!!!!!
