"Senator, I'm no real expert on China," Baucus, who has has spent years in the Senate, admitted. "But it's my strong belief Chinese people are just as proud as we Americans are proud."

America demands Justice for the Fallen of Benghazi!
Parody doesn’t write itself. Or, does it?
‘I’m No Real Expert on China’
It’s quite simple, sir. Think of a big boiling mass of humanity that has oscillated from chaos to empire and back again for thousands of years.
Then imagine them with designs on the entire planet.
Mini Joe Biden ... all we need as ambassador to our arch enemy.
Just so you are aware - the weekly standard is working for the bad guys. Think of any law you don’t like (that actually affects you) and chances are the weekly standard argued for it. NDAA. Patriot act etc. Probably because they really really care for our safety.
Likely the most important ambassadorial post we have and Obama and the Democrats give us this. Norway won’t hurt us too much but an ex Senator in China . . . Wait, never mind, I was forgetting our esteemed SOS.
Can I be an ambassador?
Here was an Ambassador to China that knew more than most Chinese about the country. Notice he was nominated under Reagan. I’m happy to say he was my great Uncle.
That's honest and humble response -- I don't count it as a 'bad mark' against him.
I cant imagine how much ludicrous barrys choices could get!
see my Baucus parody above....
are there any experts in washington.?
So you agree with and support this appointment by Obama.
Good for you.
No. I do not support this appointment. Do you support it?
He’s about as qualified as Caroline Kennedy.
So we are in agreement. Good. Welcome aboard.
I don’t support anything they do
Yes, but it's a non-sequitur. Kind of like me applying for a job in a medical specialty claiming, "I'm no brain surgeon, but I believe that all people can live in peace and harmony."

Ah, but he’s a nominee, not an applicant — there’s a bit of a key difference there.
Moreover, the spirit of “these people, too, have admirable qualities” is something that a diplomat ought to have — so it’s not entirely without merit. (And things like language, culture, customs can be taught and deficiencies bridged [have a reliable translator and a competent staff] and even a mediocre diplomat can do a good job.)
You know, Huntsman wasn’t much of a Repub. But as an ambassador at least he spoke the language and knew something about the place.
I’m pretty sure that Baucus is an complete idiot and ignorant leftist stooge. He’s the perfect Democrat for US Ambassador to Red China.
Soon he’ll learn how to “Kowtow” on his knees (aka the Monica Lewinsky Bow).
Of course there are.
Experts in golf, and experts in phoning escort agencies...
Who in the FK over there are Chinese proper?
Maybe 500-600 million the rest are comprised of 57 distinct ethnic populations who want nothing to do with China and are waiting for the moment they can reclaim their independence
“Obama Knows Best” coming soon to the BHO Televison Network.
Those purporting themselves as experts..perhaps
Max doesnt appear prepared for a great deal,...at all,
