Yeah, THAT is the million dollar question. It is, quite literally, suicide.

The only thing I can think of as to why the GOP is doing this is to guarantee that the conservatives leave the party. That way they can get elected within the non conservative GOP.

If the GOP is THAT stupid (and I don’t put anything past these spineless and worthless buffoons), then they will absolutely — without question — cement their extinction as a political party. There is absolutely NO WAY IN HELL the GOP can win any national or statewide elections without the conservatives/Tea Party. NONE whatsoever!

Yes.
But it would guarantee the GOP Leadership's chance of landing a sweet, sweet lobbying or consulting position after leaving office. Ka-Ching!

Senator Cruz, you’re a good man. A man’s man. Know that you are an inspiration to all of us red-blooded Americans.

Amen to that! Senator Cruz is a breath of fresh air in that increasingly putrid stench of the chamber we know as Congress.

The establishment republican “leadership” doesn’t care. They actually seem to prefer not having the responsibility.

“Anyone pushing an amnesty bill right now should go ahead and put a 'Harry Reid for Majority Leader' bumper sticker on their car, because that will be the likely effect if Republicans refuse to listen to the American people and foolishly change the subject from Obamacare to amnesty.”

The other thing I like about this is the whole, shame aspect of it. If they can't do it honorably, Cruz is trying to shame them into doing the right thing. And on another note, he's putting RINOs on notice that he's not going to just sit quietly while they try to ram through amnesty.

Oh YES, Mr. Obama, since the country isn't going down the crapper fast enough, let us help you add 11 to 20 MILLION new DemonRAT voters to the rolls. Thank you, sir, may we have another?

He’s probably right. If they do this and allow millions of illegals to get the same rights I have, worked for, served for, and have paid taxes for decades for, I will never, ever vote for another Republican again, period.

I won't go quite that far, as I would still vote for Cruz if he remains a Republican. But no more holding my nose and voting for RINOs.

The GOP is living up to its nickname, the Stupid Party.

**********
Yes, its taken a lot of failure and ineptitude to earn that monniker. The hapless GOP is indeed stuck on stupid.

The GOP is not a real alternative. The party only wants our money and our votes, but not our principles.

We need another party IMO.

Republicans remember what happened in 2006, even if many freepers have forgotten.

It was the AMNESTY push, and endless hatred of Republicans pushed by Dems on Hispanic Radio and TV that brought MILLIONS in to the streets that year, if you recall.

(Many freepers forget that English isn’t the only language spoken in America anymore.)

The Minimum Wage push fits directly in to that, and I have warned about this for a year. Remember, the Soros-financed Socialist ex-ACORN/SEIU orgs have been working on this for two years, now.

I contacted Boehner on the link in #6, saying the following:

“Mr. Speaker,

I think that it would be a tremendous mistake to pass ANY immigration reform bill before the new Senate is seated in 2015. I refer to BOTH a comprehensive bill and ALSO any narrow bill dealing with immigration - because the Senate will attach a full amnesty amendment in conference, and it will pass in the House if only about 10% of Republicans join Democrats in supporting it and, of course, Obama will sign such a bill.

Either course of action would be a mistake for 2 significant reasons: First, on a political level, Republican cooperation with the Democrats on this issue would demoralize a significant part of the Republican base, and there is simply no way that enough moderates or Democrat voters would vote Republican to offset such losses - so our chances of regaining the Senate would disappear. Further, any amnesty or even “path to citizenship” would fundamentally and permanently change the political calculus in this country - in favor of the Democrats! Second, the whold idea of any kind of amnesty is abhorent to law-abiding ciizens. It will encourage far more illegal immigration in the future (as past amnesties have), and also undermines the economy by taking away jobs from American citizens. We suffer from no labor shortage, Mr. Speaker, quite the opposite is true. We need to improve our economy with our own workers, not import more foreigners who undermine the wage base in this country.

Speaking as someone whose wife is a legal immigrant (and now a citizen), I can tell you that not only do native-born Americans like me oppose ANY immigration reform before the border is ACTUALLY controlled, but legal immigrants are VERY unhappy over the prospect of illegals obtaining the same benefits as them without having bothered to act under the laws of this nation.

For the sake of this nation and the Republican Party, I strongly urge you to kill ANY AND ALL immigration bills until 2015.

Thank you very much.”

I don’t know that it’ll do any good, but at least I said it. I also contacted my Congresscritter...but I know that he’ll vote the right way on this issue.

The only reason I can think of is that they fear loosing the Chamber of Commerce and big corporate money.

If the C of C and big corporate abandon them they will be broke and busted because we conservatives stopped sending them money years ago after countless betrayals. If you look at the long term they know they can't count on us as we have put liberty before power and that is not how they prioritize things.

To them it is give us the power now and we will protect your liberty later.

That, and every one of them has a maid or gardener they want legalized.

The Republicans ought to consider what the Simson-Mazzoli amnesty of 1986 did to their hopes and dreams in California.

The GOP got exactly what they wanted and now they want to do it for the entire country.

Excellent!

I truly hope and pray he reads your message/letter.

I did some personal name dropping in mine or I would post mine, which is not nearly as good as yours, regardless.

God bless and keep you.

There’s a bigger problem brewing in the future.
Boehner is going to be succeeded by Cantor —who is an even bigger amnesty queen than Boehner.

Cantor this year has a primary challenger.

The primary challenger should be supported. And Cantor’s amnesty views thoroughly aired in his Virginia district
