Why? Hollywood doesn't believe in life.
It supports abortion. It supports assisted suicide. If one of their own wants to get cranked out of his head 'til he drops over, according to them, isn't that really his choice?

People that seek to be other people as a profession in generally aren’t on good ground psychologically. They don’t like themselves, they’re trying not to be themselves, they are seeking release. Drugs provide all that too. You’ll never get drugs out of Hollywood because you’ll never get marginally insane people out of Hollywood.

As Philip Seymour Hoffman is remembered for his abilities as an actor, his death should be a wake-up call to an industry awash in substance abuse and the misery and death it causes.
