Scalia Warns US Internment Camps Could Happen Again

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia warned the University of Hawaii law school the Supreme Court will eventually authorize wartime abuse of civil rights like internment camps. The Washington Examiner reported:

Justice Antonin Scalia predicts that the Supreme Court will eventually authorize another a wartime abuse of civil rights such as the internment camps for Japanese-Americans during World War II.

“You are kidding yourself if you think the same thing will not happen again,” Scalia told the University of Hawaii law school while discussing Korematsu v. United States, the ruling in which the court gave its imprimatur to the internment camps.

Really? We are so weak that I can’t even imagine the United States accomplishing something like Interment Camps. Today Japanese Camps would never happen.

Probably for gun toting flag waving, 2nd amendment people being watched by NSA. Bible people who tried to limit the gov´t.. THAT is what these camps will be for...

They couldn’t even control New Orleans during Katrina. In WWII everybody didn’t have an assault rifle or 5 and a lot of ammo to go with them. The govt can’t even round up a bunch of illegal aliens.

Its easy to imagine todays progressives interring 'enemies of the government', i.e. taxpayers who complain too loudly about the confiscatory levels of taxation.

After all, they advocate taking food & essential services from poor children, single women and immigrants.

People really don’t know how sick of a government the US government is.They will do anything to remain in power even if it demands citizens are killed in the millions!WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?
