Reports: Eric Holder is Stepping Down
tpnn ^ | on Feb 12, 2014 | By Greg Campbell

Attorney General Eric Holder, long besieged by accusations of corruption and outright felonious behavior, has stated that he may step down in 2014 as the nation’s top alleged law enforcer.

In an article with the New Yorker’s Jeffrey Toobin, Holder admitted that he intends to stay “well into” 2014, but in doing so, has once again fueled speculation that the Attorney General will be stepping down by year’s end. The Justice Department has worked to downplay the rumors and Justice Department spokesman Brian Fallon tweeted, “Actually, most he said was he planned to stay well into ’14.”

However, it seems that whether Holder is gone tomorrow or several months later, the fact remains that it appears that the scandal-ridden Attorney General is looking for the door- news that is sure to delight conservatives and others who favor officials abiding by the law.

Holder has been held in contempt of Congress for his role in the Fast and Furious scandal which left weapons in the hands of Mexican drug cartels and one border patrol agent, Brian Terry, dead. The contempt charge stems from Holder’s unwillingness to cooperate in the investigation before being cloaked in a flimsy pretense of executive privilege.

Holder’s Justice Department has been linked to corruption from the moment Holder entered the office. One of the first acts by the new Attorney General was to drop the case of two Black Panthers who intimidated white voters outside a voting station in Philadelphia in the 2008 presidential election. Holder’s Justice Department dropped the case during the sentencing phase.

It has been a rocky ride for Holder, but an even rockier ride for Americans who, perhaps naively, looked to the Attorney General to uphold the rule of law in America.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

Thanks for putting that up. I find, regrettably, that it’s often overlooked that Brian Terry wasn’t the only US official killed with F&F weaponry.

Notice how I’m not posting anything vulgar, tasteless, cruel, out of line, or over the top here.

But that doesn’t mean I’m not thinking it.

Only a trial and imprisonment will EVER be satisfactory.

"Obama must have somebody even worse in mind."

Is there anyone left at the bottom of the barell?

He may have appointed all of them already.

Here’s hoping he’s indicted before he’s able to escape.

People, get a clue. The AG position needs to be scrubbed of all the evil it has done, in order to bring in the next, more evil AG, with a clean slate. Eric will not be brought to justice, nor will the upgrade.

A land of lawlessness, taught by a _church_ of the same.

Obama must have somebody even worse in mind.

No matter what there won't be a return to lawful behavior in the "justice dept.".

Holder will get a judgeship and obama w/reid will continue to pack the courts with radical leftists.

I don't see how the destruction of constitutional govt will ever be fixed.

A sign the Democrats are in big trouble. Once the Republicans take over the Senate I wouldn’t be surprised to see all sorts of hearing into the corruption that been going on. Holder wants to get out of Dodge. He’s ground zero for Zero.

I think there is only a 50-50 chance of that at best.

A lot of things are in play. Do the GOP-e feel emboldened with a McConnell re-election and a majority in the Senate? Do the conservatives wield more power with either a Bevin win, or loss, and a Senate majority? Do the conservatives or GOP-e have greater control with a McConnell loss and Rat win in KY, but a Pub Senate majority?

The other thing to consider is even with the best conservative outcome in the Senate the "shameless whores" in the media will spin everything to obama's favor and the "justice dept" will still be run by an obama figurehead.

Right now I would bet that the Senate stays in the Rat's control. The GOP-e will run "safe" campaigns and we will not pick up as many seats as we should. I think the House will stay in the Pubs hands, but we will not pick up the seats we should have for the same reason.

Every month new bills should be passed repealing obamacare. Every month legislation should be held up in the Senate to repeal obamacare. They should have fought over the debt ceiling knowing they would lose, but make the Rats continue to support the fascist obamacare. Instead, the Pubs are just going along with the Rats hoping the public is still mad in Nov. and gives them more seats.

Why should conservatives rush to the polls?

My money is on Tony West the current #3 in the DOJ and Kamala Harris’s brother-in-law. Or it could Kamala herself in a grand act of nepotism.

OTOH I think she may be needed back in CA...
