So an election is held and 100 of the voters are felons, and the winning candidate wins by 50 votes. Won't everyone be pleased that felons determined the outcome of the election?

Something along those lines happened when Jim Webb beat George Allen for the Senate seat in VA. Apparently the Muslim vote in Virginia went heavily for Webb, and it was very close, so they put Webb over the top. Of course I'm not saying that Muslims are like felons.

The proportion of blacks serving prison sentences may actually be lower than the percentage of crimes committed by black criminals because of black victims being afraid to testify ("no snitching").

I am glad somebody else also spotted this. That is the only reason why this phoney is trying to get the vote for convicted felons. He is such a see-thru clown. Don’t fall for this. The democrats are trying for votes everywhere they can to make up for the loss of black and jewish votes they are losing. Why do you think they are trying so hard to pass the amnesty bill? They are hoping to get it done before the 2016 election. Their thinking is ‘to hell with what is good for the country, let’s pass amnesty and give the vote to people who are being punished for serious crimes’. It’s going to be a long time till I vote democrat again!

Of inmates released from U.S. prisons, within three years about 68 percent are rearrested and 52 percent are back in prison. Voting is not a priority with this population.

.at some point Holder, Jackson-Lee etc. will be hoisted on their own petards......

Can I hold the petards? Or at least pull the triggers?

You did realize, didn't you, that a "petard" is/was a small antique mortar akin to a WW II Japanese knee mortar?

Voting is not a priority with this population.

Obama's next step will be to distribute "motor voter" forms in federal and state prisons, yo.

Look it up: Lenin opened the gates of the prison and made them part of his personal lynch mob who terrorized the Russians. Yeah, and by the way he also worried about “gun control” issues as in who gets the guns. We can see both where this comes from, and where it is going too!! Mr. Issa and others better get off their duff’s!!

The Obama administration isn't satisfied with locking in votes for Democrats by giving amnesty to illegal immigrants. Now it's also trying to unlock ex-con's votes through felon re-enfranchisement.

In a Georgetown University speech, Attorney General Eric Holder last week called state laws barring convicted felons from voting racist measures that "strip African-Americans of their most fundamental rights."

He demanded lawmakers repeal such "unjust" restrictions and restore voting rights for felons. Failure to act, he suggested, puts them in league with Jim Crow segregationists from "post-Reconstruction states."
