Ted Cruz plans Beaumont visit today

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz will visit Beaumont today to rally support for energy legislation he plans to submit that would "get government out of the way" of energy production in the United States, including not only the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada, but other efforts as well.

Cruz is expected to make his comments at the Gladys City Boomtown museum at 5550 Jimmy Simmons Drive at Lamar University at 2 p.m.
