It appears the CSP likes to style themselves as some kind of uber-gunfighter with the exposed and cartridges-forward standard-capacity magazines they carry. As usual, another case of “OK for me but not for thee” from the enforcers.

CT is probably a “test” state to see how the people react to gun consfiscation. They’re probably going to experiment and see what produces the least reaction using soft-handed techniques at first then move to ard-handed tactics if the pople don’t push back. Oklahoma is usually one of their choice states to confuct experiments because the people are so laid back, behind the times and are generally not as suspicious about the government’s motives. But its also very gun / hunting friendly and too close to Texas who would immediately spot their deception and warn them. I think they chose tge Northeastern quadrant because they are so pro-government, liberal, and largely Obama supporters. Just my opinion based on life experiences of course.

How does a state law violation become a federal felony?

It is a State, not Federal, crime. It is not a federal felony.

I have a couple of friends in CT that are in the midst of this.

This could get ugly, quickly...

> If they know who they are to send them letters, what’s the registration for?

I imagine it’s for the legalities such as igning and acknowledging that you are the owner of the gun so the court systems cn prove you are the owner and the guilty arty who didn’t turn in your gun when they come to arrest you.

This is utter BULL$HIT and the president is laughing at the Constitution as he’s doing it. Those amendments were added to prevent tyrrany from taking over by very wise men who are no longer respected by our NFL administration

Though a state felony conviction in CT becomes a felony in every state where legally possessing a firearm is concerned.

Fascist-looking uniform, my hairy white butt! Look at the "woman" wearing the uniform and tell me she will not confiscate your fire arm at the point her gun. Or over your cold dead body.

That’s the rub....they *don’t* know and have said so......all *they* do know...there are many more guns [and the *list* keeps expanding].... than are actually registered.

That’s a state cop. Pray for us.

I think I saw her picture in the same uniform in the Simon Wiesenthal Center archives. Maybe in Dachau or was it Auschwitz?

If I had one of these guns I would give it to a relative or friend in another state to hold for me for a few years. Just tell the Connecticut authorities that your gun is out of their state jurisdiction

War is coming to Connecticut. It’s just a matter of time. When they start killing their own to confiscate the guns, it will be time to fight back
