If the governors are so upset, restore the cuts to the National Guard in their state budgets. Cut some of the unfunded mandates and use that money.
Maggie makes this sound like it is news, but I recall back in 2009 over the banks when 0bama called a bunch of headhonchos into a meeting. One banker, he was from USBank, spoke out about the meeting. How it wasn’t what the administration was making the bailouts appear to be.
We all sort of chuckled at the time as these powerful banker-men were ‘forced’ to combine or take bailouts etc., but the truth is...he has done this sh*t since the very beginning.

I once had a boss like him, an arrogant POS who had not a clue what my regional manager job was about. After asking a question and getting an inane answer I told him I expect an answer like he gave me to come from an A....le. He stormed out, frankly were I he I would have risen to the bait. No, he went back to HQ and moved to get me fired. I outlasted him by ten years as he could not make a case against me while I was complimented by my cohorts for standing up to the jerk. Cowards die a thousands deaths so the bunch of GOP leaders should be dying for many years.
Some governor has to be the first to simply stand up and walk out.
