Boehner has been a weak, ineffectual Speaker. If he is re-elected, that will further define the Republican party as Democrat-Lite and not worthy of our votes.

Retirement home so that he can “spend more time” in a tanning booth?

John Boehner buys Florida condo

Boehner purchased the condo in February 2014 for $835,000.
By JAKE SHERMAN |

Speaker John Boehner and his wife have bought a condominium in Marco Island, Fla., a tony vacation town in southern Florida.

The Ohio Republican purchased the condo in February 2014 for $835,000, according to public records filed in Florida. He put down $185,000 and took out a mortgage for the rest, according to public records.

“This area of Florida has been the Boehners’ family vacation spot for many years, and rather than continue to put money into vacation rentals year after year, they decided to buy a condo,” said Boehner spokesman Michael Steel. “Their home is in West Chester, Ohio, and will continue to be.”

Indeed, Boehner does spend a lot of time in Florida and has raised money there recently for the National Republican Congressional Committee. It’s not rare for congressional leaders to buy vacation homes — many members of Congress are wealthy.

Boehner bought a unit in Marco Island’s Tampico Condominium, which is described as “Cape Marco’s luxury residence.”

The building “rises 14 stories over the sugar-white shores of the Gulf of Mexico, offering spectacular gulf and island views from gracious terraces,” according to a description on a local real estate website.

News that Boehner bought the condo was first reported by the conservative Breitbart News.

“I frankly think I’m in better shape with my own caucus carcass than I have been any time in the last three years," Boehner said. "I think they understand me better.”

There, I fixed it.

I hope and PRAY that the voters in this serial office holder GET the point of what he has been doing, PLUS the fact that NOBODY should make a CAREER out of an elected office.

C’mon Ohio Conservatives...We’ve got to get rid of this smug RINO.

Our Tea Party group is supporting J.D. Winteregg. Here’s his site: http://jdwinteregg.com/

Although we live across the state from him, we will travel to his district to go door to door for him and will donate to his campaign.

What most people don’t know if that the Speaker of the House is not constitutionally required to be an elected representative.

So, even if he loses his re-election bid, he can still remain in his position. Extremely unlikely, but still out there as a possibility.

I’m reaching the point now where I really loathe Boehner... It amazes me how a man so spineless and woefully inept at his job can have such a cocky attitude about getting nominated for a third term as House Speaker, given that he received barely a narrow majority of support from his own party for a second term in 2012. The truth is, this man has NO successes to speak of and is absolutely HORRIBLE at articulating principles and polcies that inspire ANYBODY. I’m confident the House will contain more conservatives after the 2014 midterm elections and look forward to having a fight to oust this worthless RINO from his completely undeserved leadership perch.
