I dont see the results changing. It might be that Crony wins by about 55% and that depends on how many of the counties reporting are high volume. As I looked at the county by county results, it does not look good.
I believe that the GOP-e got behind Crony because they think Mitch is a gonner in KY. That will leave Crony as the senate leader for the elites in DC. At least they think that way.
Right now, I do not see the senate changing hands and might even loose the House. Long way to go until Nov. We need to flip the senate. Get more like Cruz in. Even 9 or ten would do it, they can gum up the works real good in that chamber.

what is the problem with Patrick?

He's in favor of a full-time state legislature. I heard him say it on his radio show and you can read his own article here:

http://www.texasobserver.org/out_of_the_box/

Look at what a full-time legislature has done to California and Washinton DC. Anytime the legislature is in session, your wallet and your liberty are in peril. Texas wisely has as a limited legislative calendar. A full-time legislature is an absolutely terrible idea, but that's what Dan Patrick wants for Texas.

they think Mitch is a gonner in KY

I REALLY doubt that.. But, Bevin did start running some good radio spots today. Mitch nominated and supported the liberal judge that just forced gay marriage on Kentucky... go figure.

Still.. McConnell had a BIG lead.

"This article was written before the First person voted in Texas on March 4, as an attempt to reduce the turnout."

Damn.

Are you SURE?

'cuz I actually took the time to look....and it was posted on that old interweb thingy at 7:54 PM EST 3/4/14.

But maybe Texans like to vote late.

Or, maybe the dishonesty originated with you.

You see, this is where I disagree with the TP strategy. They should have picked states where the Dems are vulnerable or are retiring. Then get as many like Cruz, etc in.
It would take just a few more to gum the works up and force the elites to play ball if they want to get anything done. Of course, that is if they dont go turncoat on us like some have.

Give em hell. Lots of time. Lots. Bevin has to get the people out house to house if he hasnt already. Start that en mass at around late April to early May.
The ground game is where its at. Luck to you all.

I think, you try to win EVERYWHER you can.

Just sucks they couldn’t find a better alternative than Cornyn. This guy just gave the whole state the BIG FINGER... and, he still breezes in a primary.

It’s tough to get rid of these turds.

It’s a sad day when the RINO incumbent wins. Like AZ, Tejas deserves all that is coming by re-electing ‘Rat lite. Pathetic. Ya fought the good fight. The rest are sellouts.

we’re getting logistic support from outside of the state. We’ve got a chance.. but, seriously, it’s a long shot.

It’s a huge problem. Very few smart people who are good leaders want to go into public life. And really, who can blame them?

By voting for Cornball, Patrick and Bush, we are just handing it over to the Dems.

They have been handing it over to the rats forever. Why should things change? They are comfortable being the hated minority party. They get angry at Dingy Harry for saying the people are lying about losing their health cafe, then probably go out to dinner with the rats in the evening.

Cornyn needs a web-based taser so the folks can keep him closer to the straight and narrow should he follow his natural inclinations and stray from the fold.

But can you win everywhere? This needs to be understood. Target the vulnerable first.
Texans went for the name recognition. And I dont know about Stockman..if he was the best choice or not to run against Cornyn.

We got our own problems down here. I’d like to think that Palin is jockying for a run at the Senate. I believe that McLame is going to retire. At least I hope so.

I’ve been saying it, but no one is listening. Cook County went national in 2008 and the Ruling class has been infecting every single nationally-impacted race since.

We suffered a coup folks. How can so many even here REFUSE to comprehend the truth that is screaming in our faces? Every race now, if it has national implications, is a mob-fixed outcome.

Just wait until you see the bewilderment come November, if we even make it there before this whole enchilada collapses. Meanwhile the Oligarchy is simply expecting the majority to assume that this is what everyone but them has voted for.

Getting only 57% of the vote is not a great sign of strength for an incumbent.

So, do you think Pryor (Ark.) is a goner or a sure thing?

I am not close to that one, so hard to say. I feel pretty good about that pickup and NC, but our Senate campaigns have been so sorely lacking the past two cycles that I wouldn't be surprised to the see the Dems have some success in at least a couple races defending their incumbents. Arkansas is a such a mixed bag politically, that you just never know.

I think overall we are in a good position to pick up several open seats and beat Dem incumbents. It is going to be tough to pick off more than a one or two GOP incumbents...it's just the nature of the beast. Many here are so motivated to take on all comers, and then get down when a guy like Cornyn keeps his spot. These are hard races, and we would need really good alternatives to pull it off. Not all of these states have great alternatives. Getting Lee in Utah was a big win, as was Cruz in TX (although technically not against an incumbent). Getting rid of Lugar was big, too, although the general turned out to be a disaster. It's not easy to remove entrenched incumbents, and it takes a lot of things going right. Here, we see many getting emotionally high on picking off all these guys, and then very down when we don't. This is a long battle we have to change the Senate, and we won't win every time.
