Kentucky has that nice little double dip rip off. You paid them too much in taxes this year, here is your $200 back in a refund they send you. Then next tax year you get a nice little notice of, you remember that $200 you overpaid, well it’s taxable income so it better be on this years return...
My late father in law was a CPA and he despised the Kentucky Revenue Cabinet almost as much as the IRS—He was right!

This is buying votes. Plain and simple. The IRS works for the democrat party and they’re thinking by handing out big refunds the LIVs shouldn’t be getting, they will vote democrat in November. The IRS may be right.

Yeah, I’m wondering what the average is for people who actually pay taxes. My guess is that much of this is earned income credits earned by illegal anchor babies and the like.

I’ll be paying about $5,000 more into it. Gotta help the freeloaders out.

I put it in my mind that it needs mailed on the 14th. That way if I forget it still isn’t late. Lol my memory and ‘give a crap mode’ is not what it used to be.

I know I’m preachin’ to the choir here, but seriously? Do any other Conservative/TEA Partiers actually allow Mother Government a tax-free LOAN of their money for an entire year - then allow themselves to be taxed on it again as income for the next cycle?
Really? STARVE THE BEAST!

What refund? No kidding. I recently did my taxes for 2013. My income changed little from 2012 to 2013, and I stayed within the same tax bracket. Yet somehow my tax burden went up in 2013 by nearly $3,000.

It is early in the tax season. The first people to file their tax returns are people who pay no income tax and get big Earned Income Tax Credit refunds. These people typically have little or no income tax withheld on their paychecks. Whoopee! Free EITC money falling from the sky!
To: Jim Robinson
Which means Obama got to use your money INTEREST FREE for a year, while the value of your dollars went DOWN!(I know you know that already, Mr. Robinson...the font size was put there for the low information voters.)
To: SoFloFreeper
I never knew that. Probably because I never get a refund. Pay taxes in following Oct (if I have the dough).

The sad part is how many people consider their IRS confiscation refund as a bonus check.

That seems very odd. I’d definitely do a “deep dive” on it.

What a coinky dink! I expect that’s about the size of the check I’ll need to write 4/15.
