...Mrs. Palin, Governor Palin...

First, I appreciate your correction and it does matter. Also, I was taught years ago that in writing to a married woman, in this case Sarah, the proper way to address her is Mrs. Todd Palin, not Mrs. Sarah Palin.

I didn't realize that "Ms." was a leftist idea, but rather a convenient way to address a woman when not knowing if she was single or married.

The term "Ms" goes back several centuries but in recent history, the revival of that honorific was strictly due to the concerted efforts of leftwing radicals and feminazis. It's well documented numerous places on the web, one of which is: How to Make a Language Difference - Ms Sheila Michaels.

Ping to KC Lion, a staunch ally of Sarah Palin and as one quite a bit younger than I, may not be aware of the leftism associated with "Ms". Those born after, say, 1950 or so may think that "Ms" is just part of the everyday lingo but it was popularized by the same evil crowd pushing the baby-killing and sodomite agenda.

Strangely enough when one of her sportcasts was put up on satellite in the 1980’s was the first time I ever saw Sarah Palin, but she wasn’t even married yet and the only reason I was watching the sportscast was because it came from Anchorage, Alaska.

It was a novelty back then to see things on satellite from distant places.

Really?

Thanks Nortex I will read that link ASAP.

All I know about Ms. is that Ms. Magazine is a POS Publication that turns my stomach every time I see it on the shelves.

‘see from her window’

I see we have another misinformed person here I believe she never actually said that, it was a SNL skit with a leftist tramp in it.

Quite interesting, thanks for the heads up.

TAPP (TV APP) is starting as subscription (similar to Cable TV) but in the future will have advertising. Just like Cable did.

Started by two MSN bigshots and with support from Google.

Ten dollars for a subscription to each channel, and they say that it's for personalities with at least a 25,000 people fan base.

Who gets the $1/4 million (minimum) revenue?

These two guys, the investors (Google executive etc--Google is quite hostile towards Conservatism, ditto Bloomberg) or do the “personalities” get a cut?

When launched on Bloomberg TV on March 10th (Bloomberg does not allow any of it's content to be posted on Free Republic, just links,) kind of a potential red flag (plus they would not reveal any of the "personalities" they were considering.)

When I first saw this I was thinking it could be a good venue for Free Republic TV but after researching it I'm quite skeptical of it being a good venue for FR.

pur·port·ed·ly -adv

Definition of PURPORTEDLY
ostensibly, allegedly; often in a questionable sense.

"Sarah is purportedly an idiot, but consider the source of the reports."

Interesting — kind of like short wave radio DXing.

Per Wikipedia, there are exactly two Republicans who’ve said they’re definitely running, and unless you’re a completely degenerate political geek, you’ve never heard of either of them. Everybody else has, at most, expressed interest without committing. If she’s teasing, so are they.

I was an all out consumer of media with shortwave radio being a favorite of mine into the 90’s.

I listened to local radio on shortwave everything from Mayak in the Soviet Union, Reshet Bet in Israel, Springbok Radio in South Africa, ABC Radio in Australia, France-Inter and so on.

Consumed news from BBC World Service and so on.

Satellite brought a lot of clear audio from around with world along with the video.

“I really don’t think it is the money with Palin. I think that she really enjoys the Hollywood and entertainment media. Face it, she always gravitates to this.

Can she help the right? yes she can. I don’t think she is interested in running for office anymore.”

Ever hear of a guy named Breitbart?

Ever hear him declare that “Culture is upstream of politics?”

Palin gets this.

So do the Dems. Obama got elected by low-information voters who DO NOT pay attention to politics, don’t even know how many members are in the U.S. Senate ... even when they are told each states gets two members! ... but who CAN tell you what some Kardashian said or wore or married or whatever.

The GOP ... and you, apparently, ... don’t get that for good or bad, elections are now won in the culture, not the political arena.

Hence the Obamas continuing to go on every magazine cover and every entertainment show they can find.

Palin is influencing culture AND politics simultaneously.

Get it now?

Actually, I think that you don’t get what I was saying is the same as you.

She likes that aspect and that seems to be where she will do her work.

And yes, I know you think you are brilliant, but all of us pretty well know the culture is much of the problem. If she takes this route to help, I am all for it.
