It’s Time to Draft Ted Cruz for President

When Republicans run for the White House as conservatives, we win. When they run as moderates, we lose. Yet every four years, the party bosses and political consultants tell us that conservatives are unelectable and that we must support their big-government candidates.

I’m convinced that if we want to win the White House in 2016, we must nominate a consistent, full-spectrum conservative. We need a candidate who stands for something and won’t back down when the liberals launch their attacks.

That is why I am launching a new political action committee to draft Ted Cruz for President. With your help, we will draft, nominate, and elect Ted Cruz as the 45th President of the United States.

I’ve gotten to know Ted Cruz over the past three years.

I worked on the ground here in Texas to elect him to the U.S. Senate and I served as one of his regional directors until end of February.

During that time, I saw an honest leader who consistently and courageously fought for the principles of freedom that this country was founded upon.

In his first year in the Senate, Ted Cruz went toe-to-toe with the most powerful people in the country. He was attacked by Democrats as well as Republicans, but he didn’t back down.

When Republicans were ready to cave on gun control in early 2013, Ted Cruz was one of the few who fought to stop it. When Republicans were ready to roll over on Obamacare, Ted Cruz refused. And when Republicans tried to deceive their constituents on the debt limit, Ted Cruz refused to go along and fought for us.

Americans are frustrated with Washington because politicians in both parties aren’t listening. They’re sick of politicians who say one thing on the campaign trail, but then do something else once they’re elected.

Ted Cruz is different.

Ted Cruz made explicit promises to the people of Texas on the campaign trail and then did something completely foreign to Washington: he kept his word.

It’s why he is hated by Washington insiders, but loved by so many Americans. Ted Cruz doesn’t just make promises. He delivers.

I have personally met thousands of men and women in Texas and across the country who, like me, have been inspired by Ted’s passion and courage. We’re thankful to finally have a voice in Washington. It gives us all hope that we can save this great country.

It’s why I decided to leave the senator’s Senate office and begin working to help the grassroots organize a campaign to draft Ted Cruz for President.

I know there are other candidates who may run as conservatives, but I believe Ted Cruz has demonstrated that he’s the only consistent conservative who will do what it takes to roll back Barack Obama’s agenda. He’s the only one who has the passion, principles, and courage needed to deliver real results for Americans.

I’ve never spoken to Ted about him running for president and I honestly don’t know if he will do it, but I do know he won’t succeed unless freedom-loving Americans like you and me begin organizing this effort now.

Ted Cruz is the people’s candidate and we need to be the ones driving the effort to elect him.

So if you’re ready to be proud of your vote again and you agree that Ted Cruz should run for president, please do three things:

  1. Go to RunTedRun.com and sign the official Draft Ted Cruz for President petition.
  2. Urge your friends and family to join you.
  3. Donate whatever you can to help us spread the word and build support.

Making DC listen won’t be easy. It’s going to take millions of Americans standing together to draft, nominate, and elect Ted Cruz as president, and we need your help today.

With your support, we will gather over 1 million petitions this year and assemble an army of activists who will make the calls, walk the precincts, and donate the money needed to elect Ted Cruz as the 45th President of the United States.

Please join your fellow Americans in this fight for our nation’s future. President Obama has done serious and lasting damage to our country, and now is our time to make it right.

For me, it doesn’t have to be Ted. But he is on my very short top tier list that I’m looking at (along with Pence, Palin, and Santorum). I wish him well.

One thing I'd like to know becasue so far I haven't heard it. Everybody wants to REPEAL Obamacare, but few talk about what should replace it. Rand does - he talks about replacing Socialism with THE FREE MARKET.

Does anyone know where Cruz stands on replacing Obamcare and Socialism with the competitive, voluntary free market free of government interference? Does he speak about and seem to understand that we don't need another government program to replace Obamacare and the myriads of other government programs that need to be nuked? The "alternative" that Obama says the Right doesn't have is the powerful, robust and wealth-producing competitive market economy which gives us the best quality for the best prices, free of government interference.

We have had the best healthcare in the world without government interference. It is only since the 1970's when government began to interfere with healthcare that the prices skyrocketed. Why shouldn't the prices skyrocket? Government is the useless bloated middleman siphoning off otherwise productive money into useless bureaucracies like the HHR which has a TRILLION DOLLAR BUDGET. NUKE THE HHR!!!

Anyone know where Cruz is on this stuff and CUTTING GOVERNMENT AND TAXES to a permanent fault tax of 10%-15%?

“..ATTENTION GOVERNOR TOM CORBETT...”

He isn’t listening.

Corbett should have landed on our lunatic AG with BOTH feet for dropping the corruption investigation against her fellow Dems in Philly, and instead - he did NOTHING.

Three days later, her malfeasance is back paged.

Don’t count on him for anything. I don’t think he understand how high the stakes are for PA. I hope he shows more fight for his re-election.

There you go again, making sense with understandable, constructive, feasible, conservative proposals.
‘Three easy steps:

repeal ACA

tort reform

open insurance markets across state lines’
Ted Cruz is great!!
Effective policies come from a firm and courageous philosophy, clear goals and priorities, and a vision for a better future.
Ted Cruz would make a great President, and be able to bring on many experienced, articulate, conservatives to fill the Cabinet and managerial slots.

I'm willing to listen to counter arguments, though."

“...Who does that remind you of?...”

How much worse could an actual American Senator, who actually LOVES his country and wants what’s best for it, do, versus the complete idiot we currently have?

Thank you for the link. Again, don’t get me wrong, I love Cruz. You all know, though, that if/when he does announce for Prez, the drivebys will suddenly discover the whole NBC issue (Of course they didn’t give a rat’s azz when it was the Kenyan).
