Agreed that Catholics should definitely not march, but I think Donohue messed up. He was making demands yesterday that he be allowed in the parade - and he even specified what he wanted his sign to say. Now that the gays have said that’s fine with them, he’s kind of stuck. He’s going to look bad if he backs out and bad if he marches. Sigh.

He’s not going to back down. Why would he do that?

Gay activist groups can’t march as such in the St Pat’s parade per USSC ruling.

Donahue was invited to this one.

He’s going. Why wouldn’t he? He’s not acting as an organizer and isn’t an organizer of the St. Pat’s Parade.

He is not afraid to march in the Gay Parade. As chief of the Cath League, he puts up with more persecution in this culture, in NYC than people expect him to.

They don’t want him there, They called a bluff but they, no, they’ll back out, and if they don’t, he’ll march. it’s not about hatred.
