“The EU was not content to be a free trading, monetary & economic confederation.”

I don’t think we should assume that these are anti-EU movements. In the case of Scotland, they are looking towards the EU not away from it. Venice is reflecting an age old scism in the politics of the Italian penninsula.

“Their fanatical approach has..interfered with the different nations’ perceptions of proper sex roles, ethnic identification & other social institutions, developed over many generations.”

Socialist silliness was entrenched in Europe long before the EU. These are not American-style conservatives clamoring for a return to traditional values.

“...it was the American Left that pushed the creation of the EU in the aftermath of World War II.”

In point of fact, Republicans supported it as well - as a way to prevent yet another Europe-wide war.

Your final paragraph is spot-on, however.

I finished reading her memoirs a little while back. She went into great detail about the monetary-union issue and the EU, along with everything else she dealt with during her time. Good read!

Yes. And Britain should also have listened to Enoch Powell.

"See, I told you so."

Did she disagree with me, that the EU and Bilderberg people wanted Britain to dump sterling and go euro?

There was Socialist silliness in Europe before the EU, but the fact is that member nations have been forced to adopt laws that effect immigration, relations between the sexes, and who may serve in the military, in what capacities, etc., because of EU dictates. It has pushed for social policies that have nothing to do with the supposed economic benefits that induced membership.

And with respect to Republicans pushing for the EU, those were predominantly not Conservative Republicans. Before the Goldwater to Reagan battle for control of the Republican Party, it was scarcely more Conservative than the Democratic Party. The Conservative Southern Democrats were more Conservative, than the East Coast Republicans, who succeeded in frustrating the Taft Republican efforts to move the Party to the Right in the 1940s & 1950s.

I dont agree with many of her policies, but when you listen to her you clearly sense that France (along with Europe not defending its borders in order to dilute France and the UK with immigrants to maintain its divide to reign ultimate goal) is dying.

Some bad stuff is about to happen over there.

Political Correctness, class hypocrisy, abortion... yep... and now how to suppress murder instincts from coming out when the migrants provoke them?

Change you can believe in.

Yep, I see WW III on the horizon. The once laudable goal of a unified Europe was always built upon the Backs of the American Taxpayers and a quasi-occupation force from the U.S. that freed them of having to defend themselves.

Well guess what Europe and the World, we are near bankruptcy now so your living off of ‘Others Peoples Money’ is about to end.

Across Europe, there is a fear that the ethnic character of their countries and continent are being altered forever against the will of the people.

This is why the top-down imposition of the EU on a resistant and grudging populace was doomed from the start. It only awaited the inevitable economic instability to evolve to start the political unraveling.

More so true of America than Europe. We exceed them on all three fronts.
