yep- I would like infinite DO-OVERS!

IT WASN”T MY FAULT!

But hey- see any criticism from Repugs?
How is Mclame doing?

Now that Reid has thrown out 200 years of Senate rules
Does it matter that he even spent $30K?

Yes, don-o, regrettably Rules are for the little people. The law allows harry reid to pay this money into his campaign war chest to absolve harry reid of criminal wrongdoing. Guess what money harry can use to pay off his criminal wrongdoing ... answer ... campaign contributions. Wow, What A Country!

No Harm.
No Foul.
No time in the penalty box.

Move along. Nothing to see here. You weren’t supposed to notice. Just a little technical procedural accounting quirk.
That’s just the way it is for the animals who are more equal than others.

Why is Harry Reid’s family so sacrosanct? No such trivial incursions into the families of Republican political figures are given equal protection by the press or Democrat-run investigative committees, and Democrat district attorneys everywhere in the territory once known as “the United States of America” gleefully jump onto bringing charges of “malfeasance” in instances where there is even the most remote chance that something, anything, will cling to the targeted Republican officeholder.

It is not like Harry could not have afforded this expenditure out-of-pocket. He is once again found to be chiseling from the public treasury, or dipping into funds diverted from legitimate campaign expenditures, for personal enjoyment, as one of his “perks” of office.

Harry does this a lot, thinking that nobody, especially in the current political climate, will ever hold him to account. The “culture of corruption” is a spreading affliction, and it is only a further symptom of “Potomac fever”, which seems to affect almost everybody who has been in high office for far too long.

Does nobody remember Jim Wright, James Traficant, Robert Torricelli, or Dan Rostenkowski?

Am I to believe this is isolated to only one family member? This isn't even the tip of Reid's iceberg, I'm sure.

Can you imagine how the media would be hanging a Republican as guilty if they had done this?

The press went hammer and tong against the former governor of Virginia and his wife for not nearly the same degree —not nearly-—and the legality there is suspect at best. But then, the former governor was a Republican.
