With just days to go before open enrollment ends on March 31, Maryland officials are reportedly planning to abandon its glitch-ridden ObamaCare website and replace the health exchange with technology from Connecticut’s marketplace.

The Washington Post reported late Friday that the board of the Maryland exchange will vote on changing the system that has cost at least $125.5 million at a meeting on Tuesday, the day after the end of the first enrollment period under ObamaCare. …

There’s no decent excuse to have legislated these government-run faux market exchanges to begin with—let alone spend the billions and billions that have been wasted on them and not considering the total disaster of Obamacare, of which they are part.

Just an all-around, all-too-intentional disaster.

No sympathy. Maryland is deep blue and the voters there deserve this.

I know that the software technology from Washington States’ exchange (which does work) would basically be non-portable to any other state’s implementation, except for elements of the front end, because it is so tightly interwoven with the state’s proprietary DSHS and existing Health Care Authority databases. Better to just commission the developers to write a new one mostly from scratch

Absolutely true, but these idiots won’t recognize the error of their ways until their state goes under ( or maybe their ration of beer and cable TV is cut off)!
And remember, Nancy Pelosi is from Baltimore, her father was mayor.

They just need more money to make it work.

Like trying to get a gasoline engine to run on peanut butter.

I cruised it briefly. Seems to work better than the BOcare site, but that isn’t saying too much :-)

Why spend 125 mill on a friend’s software firm when you can spend 250 mill and make two friends very happy?

Thanks to price controls and progressive taxation we soon won’t have any skilled doctors.

No one is held accountable for throwing $125 million ? Why? Because it mostly went to Leftists and campaign contributors?
