Anderson Cooper Will Not Receive an Inheritance From Mom Gloria Vanderbilt

No inheritance for Anderson! CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, who comes from the Vanderbilts, one of the wealthiest families in American history, said Monday, March 31, that he will not be receiving any fortune from his mother Gloria Vanderbilt.

"My mom's made clear to me that there's no trust fund," Cooper told Howard Stern on his radio show. "There's none of that."

Cooper's mom is the great-great-granddaughter of railroad and shipping mogul Cornelius Vanderbilt. Still stunning at 90 years old, the Manhattan socialite and former denim designer is reportedly worth a whopping $200 million.

Gloria's equally-successful son, however, told Stern he was okay with not receiving an inheritance at all. "I don't believe in inheriting money," he said. "I think it's an initiative sucker. I think it's a curse."

I believe your comment can apply to the mothers/fathers of all homosexuals whose lifestyles or "parenting" skills were responsible for creating homosexuals.

Then, since they're incapable of realizing or accepting the responsibility they bear, they promote the societal acceptance of these deviants in order to absolve themselves of any guilt or responsibility...

William E. Miller? Rob Portman? Alan Keyes? Phyllis Schlafly? Dick and Lynn Cheney?

These things happen in all kinds of families. Even Barry Goldwater has a gay grandson.

“I’d take a gay Anderson Cooper over a straight Bill Maher any day though...”

I’m with you. Maher has the “yuk” factor,Cooper doesn’t.

There is something strange about it, IMO. Maybe the fake smiles ... I don’t know.

The promotion of societal acceptance of homosexuality...

On March 14, 2013, Portman announced that he had changed his stance on gay marriage, and now is in support of its legalization. The change came two years after his son Will came out to Portman and his wife as gay in 2011; Portman says in the March 2013 CNN interview that “I’m announcing today a change of heart [for] gay marriage.”[116] Prior to this revelation, Portman was noted as having a voting record that was strongly opposed to gay rights, consistent with statements he had made on the subject.[

RE: I thought his mom blew all her money a long time ago.

Well, she’s worth “only” $200 Million. She coulda been a multi-billionaire.

Cornelius Vanderbilt was one of the richest men in the world during his time. His net worth of US$105 million in 1877 was equal to 1.15% of the U.S. annual GDP in his day.

Here is my favorite quote: “Cooper went on to say. “Who has inherited a lot of money that has gone on to do things in their own life?” When Stern pointed out that that’s exactly what his mother did, Cooper said, “I think that’s an anomaly.”

A liberal asks a question and the answer is his own mother. ha ha ha

The pillows — I didn’t know poor little rich girls liked gingham. Maybe she discovered it in mid-life and thought it was pretty! The rest of the decor doesn’t reflect much else about farm living or feed sacks. LOL!!

I guess I should cut her a break, in that she made her business out of denim. Someone must have taken her to a farm when she was a kid and she had ice cream and it was a great experience.

Please excuse the cynicism here... but so many other aspects of her reputation seem rather decadent.
