He was correct. Prescient even. But one politician's invective directed at President Obama early in his administration seems to have been forgotten.
On Sept. 9, 2009, Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., interrupted a speech by the president to a joint session of Congress by shouting, "You lie!"
The incident resulted in a formal rebuke to the congressman, essentially along party lines, by the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives.
Wilson may have been indecorous, but he was right, and the president has continued to deceive. The whopper of his presidency is, of course, likely to be:
"If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period."
But there has been more. Much more.

Joe would have been correct too if he had called him a lying POS.
I’d respect him a lot more if he hadn’t backed off and apologized for the incident.
I agree would on principle, but if memory serves correctly he was finally persuaded or coerced by Republican leaders to apologize. If true, then he had to decide which of two choices would best serve his constituents.

Not only was Joe Wilson right.....he was 100% right!!! Folks....get out and vote come November, 2014, to totally destroy the Democrat “Hate America” Party, politically!!!
When it happened, Rahm Emmanuel called up Boehner, cussed a blue streak at him, and demanded an apology. Boehner, spineless as always, complied and ordered Wilson to fall on his sword. I remember it well.
Yes, he was right, but most of us knew that, long before he said it.
Sometimes it just does not take many words to describe the situation. My Rep, could not be prouder. Call a spade a spade.
Hopefully a Republican-controlled House would now apologize ... crickets.
