A ragtag band of US mercenaries, Ukrainian National Guard soldiers, and fighters from the radical Right Sector movement have arrived in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk to raid a building occupied by anti-government protestors, a leader of a local militia group told RIA Novosti on Thursday.
“About a hundred people from the National Guard are housed at the Donetsk airport,” said Sergey Tsyplakov, the deputy director of a local group called the People’s Militia of the Donbas.
“Around a hundred Right Sector thugs are also in the city, as well as a hundred employees from a private US military company operating under contract with the Kiev junta,” he added.
“In total, there are around 300 professionals and well-trained and motivated fanatics,” Tsyplakov said. “This is a major force, but we are ready to fight.”
Pro-federalization protesters have built three lines of barricades in front of the main entrance of the Donetsk regional administration building. The defensive fortifications – decorated with Russian and regional flags and anti-fascist slogans – are made from pieces of furniture, barbed wire and car parts.

It’s not like the West is going to do much to stop him, unless he’s dumb enough to attack a NATO country, (he isn’t), and if they try, he has the Sword of Damocles, the destruction of the US Petrodollar and cutting of Gas supplies to Europe, ready to play.
We are here because of a combination of things that can all be traced DIRECTLY to the desk of one Barack Obama.
I blame Obama for his neglect, for his lies, for his crimes, for his ideology. I do the same with Putin. You are the one unable to put aside your pro-Putin prejudice. You’re probably hoping he’ll call you and thank you for your efforts. He’ll jilt you in the end.

You keep making the same mistake, over and over again. I’m trying to analyze the FACTS, as presented. You OBVIOUSLY have a personal bias in this.

I got news for ya. In today’s world, it’s ALL propaganda. The reason FR exists (in my mind), and what it is very good at, is to devine truth from that propaganda.

Obama is not keeping Clinton’s word - America can no longer be trusted. I doubt that any nuclear power will ever give up that capability again, now that the adverse consequences of such an action are so public. Obama’s weakness invited this crisis, and it will have lasting consequences.
How is this piece not Russian propaganda? First sentence:
US mercenaries in Ukraine—> hearsay; National Guard, maybe; Right Sector- unconfirmed, fear-mongering.
“Thugs”, “junta”, “motivated fanatics” as reference to the Ukrainian forces, and that’s only in the excerpt provided here. Haven’t read the rest of the story, but I suspect there’s more of that colourful commentary, perhaps something about “the junta” being cannibals.
FACTS are, there are no facts, no analysis, no insight in this article. It’s just an opportunity for the Russian RIA Novosti to thrash the Ukrainians who rebbeled against Yanukovich. Take away the bias, the name calling and fear-mongering hearsay, the story becomes, Donetsk protesters are fearful that police/army will clear them out.
Ukrainian-thrashing is bad enough, but if there’s nothing else of value in the article, well, that’s just inconsiderate time wasting.

You mean, now it’s “pro-federalization” protesters, as oppose to “separatists who want to join Russia”?
