I too find the mispronounciation grating. I'm reminded of a Family Circus cartoon where the little boy came home from school and said "Mommy, mommy, I learned a new word at school today. Can you surmise what it is?" ;-)

And yes Rush, the proper pronunciation is better.

No. Not on the number of casualties. I value his insight, wisdom, experience, knowledge and wit. Plus his ability to make the complicated simple.

Seriously: I’m not the only one to notice a COMPLETE lack of Monday Morning headlines about the weekend’s events, am I?

I couldn’t believe it; it was like it didn’t happen. My local radio station didn’t even bring it up, save for a FoxRadio ‘blurb’ about the ‘Feds blinking’ (their words, not mine).
