Report: Continued High Legal Immigration Levels Will Destroy GOP
Breitbart ^ | 15 Apr 2014 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 04/16/2014 8:07:50 AM PDT by SoConPubbie

A new report from an anti-amnesty group has concluded that continued high-levels of immigration to the United States of America will destroy the Republican Party’s long-term prospects of winning future elections, a copy provided to Breitbart News shows.

“A comparison of voting patterns in presidential elections across counties over the last three decades shows that mass immigration has caused a steady drop in presidential Republican vote shares, particularly in the nation’s largest counties,” James G. Gimpel writes in a new Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) report out Tuesday morning. “Each one percentage-point increase in the immigrant share of a large county’s population reduces the Republican share of the two-party vote by nearly 0.6 percentage points on average.”

Gimpel cites three “key conclusions” that come from his 14-page analysis. First, the “enormous flow of legal immigrants” into America—nearly 30 million have come to America from 1980 to 2012—“has remade and continues to remake the nation’s electorate in favor of the Democratic Party.”

Second, Gimpel writes, the “partisan impact” of said immigration increases “is relatively uniform throughout the country.” He argues that Texas has been hit on the same ratio as Florida or even California, “even though local Republican parties have taken different positions on illegal immigration.”

Specifically, for instance, Republican parties in Texas are much tougher on illegal immigration than those in California—but suffer the same drastic political consequences that benefit Democrats when legal immigration is increased.

“The decline does not seem to vary with the local Republican Party’s position on illegal immigration,” Gimpel states, concluding that Republicans must deal with the tough issue of opposing a massive increase in legal immigration, rather than just opposing the easy-to-fight illegal immigration issue.

The huge jump in legal immigration occured after GHWB signed the Immigration Act of 1990 into law. Interesting chart:

We have to give up birthright citizenship for those with non native parents.

Dubai and the UAE does this. They import skilled workers from around the world through very low tax policy but none of those workers can ever hope to get the same benefits that the Emiratis who are natives get, unless they marry a native, and even then it is conditional.

We are the only country on earth that allows non citizens to get the benefits they do by being in America

The problem is, the illegals that are here are having kids who are automatically US citizens at birth. just deporting their parents wont solve the issue.

Those kids aren't wards of the state, they are the responsibility of the parents and that responsibility rises above their citizenship, whatever it is.

Deport the parents and the kids are required to go with them.

It is the only sane, moral, and ethical approach there is.

“...It only hastens permanent domination by the dems...”

That, plus the Dems are presently subverting the Electoral College system as well, will guarantee a communist democrat century, unless the GOP - and the rest of us - determines to stop them.

They have a state-by-state plan to pass legislation that forces the electors of each state to throw their electoral votes to the POPULAR vote winner.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3144692/posts

They’ve got 9 blue states so far and the District of Columbia, casting 136 electoral votes, have joined. This is halfway to the 270 needed to put the compact into effect. The ratifying states are: Maryland, New Jersey, Illinois, Hawaii, Washington, Massachusetts, the District of Columbia, Vermont, California, and Rhode Island.

I hear nary a PEEP from the Republicans on this.

RE “...used to claim that working immigrants with great paying jobs and married with traditional families were automatic conservatives voting against Dems....”
........
“Nope. They’re “la raza” first, democrats second, and everything else a far distant third.”

Those are not the immigrants that I am referencing here.
I a referencing ones with real $$$ and incomes and they are not from this continent. They are parents in two parent opposite sex families.

If GOP cant get them then they certainly won't get illegals voting for them.

RE :”They have a state-by-state plan to pass legislation that forces the electors of each state to throw their electoral votes to the POPULAR vote winner.”

O Malley passed that in his first term HERE years ago along with giving felons back the vote.

However it doesn't go into effect this state till enough states pass it to make a difference. (so nothing has changed)

The question is : what states that vote differently than the national popular vote will want to give up their electoral votes away from their own voters to the high population states :NY, CA, MD, ???...

OK, having thought about it for more than 5 seconds, denying retroactively would be fraught with issues.

This goes against the past statements of many FReepers to the effect of “I am all in favor of legal immigration, I just oppose illegal immigration. If they come here legally, they are welcome.”

The problem is, by 2 to 1, those coming here legally are voting for Big Government Dims.

Legal, illegal—the effect is the same:: the country is being turned commie red.

The way I used the words “la raza”, I meant they’re voting “their race” first - not the group that calls itself “La Raza”.

As In skin color or ethnicity first - whatever it may be - instead of “American” first.

My bad for not explaining it better.

At first blush, your idea seems a bit nutty. But the real truth is we seem to have past the point of “peak” employment. Labor participation rates are in a tail spin and the construction trades have been slaughtered by the anemic housing starts and the shabby condition real estate market.

So........what are people coming to the US to do? There’s not enough jobs for the people already here! And I’m hearing that illegal border crossings from Mexico have steadily declined due to the lack of jobs; in fact, some of the “migrants” are returning to Mexico. I honestly don’t get it.

“I started making this argument fairly recently, that we need to stop ALL immigration, not just illegal immigration. The fact is ... we are FULL! Put up a no vacancy sign on all the borders, because we don't have the resources to feed and care for the ones we have here now much less the 100’s of millions who would come here if given the chance.”

I'm with you. There should be at least a 5 year moratorium on immigration during which time we sweep the illegals out, find out who has overstayed visas, revoke citizenship improperly given to immigrants who did not meet the law, etc. Then, decide who WE NEED here, which will be very low numbers of immigrants (select scientists, etc.), not endless masses of cabbage pickers and mid-level tech workers to keep the Chamber of Commerce happy.

The GOPe can’t wait to ditch conservatives for a chance to become the redistribution party of inclusion and tolerance.

Put up a no vacancy sign on all the borders

Amen! And when the screaming begins from those who can't get in, we should tell them, "Thank an illegal immigrant."

Common delusions - by racial group - about what the United States will look like when it's ‘finally brown’:

Blacks: blacks will NOT be the dominant minority group. And Hispanics are totally devoid of ‘white guilt’. Think about that one for a second. A ‘social program’ in many Hispanic countries consists of 5 year olds selling trinkets on the streets. Blacks can vote as a bloc but they'll discover other minority groups also vote as blocs... and they'll be out-voted. ‘Food stamps’ and other social programs won't survive. Anyone know a 'brown' country that gives food stamps for life to it's residents? Or any 'brown' country? It won't happen here either.

Hispanics risked life and limb to come to a free country with equal opportunity and a middle class large enough to join if they just worked hard enough. And they did work hard enough - and they joined the middle class.

Well, that's going to change.

Hispanics and other minorities worked hard and joined the middle class in today's American. That was good - - it won't last when the country's 'brown'. When this is a 'brown' country it'll BE a 'brown' country. Anyone know of a brown country where there's a large middle class and an easy way to join it if you work hard? Didn't think so... The usual is rich elites, many dirt-poor and lots of corruption. You can kiss social programs and easy returns at stores goodbye too...

White Liberal elites: My favorite. White liberal elites actually think they'll continue to be elected and in charge when the country;s 'brown'... that's not gonna happen. Anyone know of any 'brown' country that elects whites elites to run it? Won't happen here either.

This is the only really good news... People like Jeb Bush, Biden , Hillary and McCain will discover that no one is 'grateful' for all the wonderful gifts of citizenship they feel they personally gave away. Just like blacks felt Biden's condescending attitude toward them with his 'keeping them out of chains' talk was insulting, other minorities will also not appreciate white liberal gaucheness. White liberal elites are much more impressed with themselves than the rest of us are impressed with them.

And that brings us to "Traditional Americans": We'll fight to keep our culture for a while - then we'll give up and commit cultural suicide. We'll stop. Stop fighting for fairness, stop making an effort, and stop having children. We'll look down the road and realize we should not be birthing children into a world we don't belong in - so we'll take up hobbies, have small dogs as pets and slowly die out. The Romans didn't conquer the ancient Greeks - they rode in and discovered only old people - that Greeks had committed cultural suicide... had stopped having children. The land that was the United States will still be here... a country will still exist here... and will carry the same name. Detroit's still a city - still in the same place it was founded... it's just 'different' now. That's how the United States will be - the same - and at the same time - different... the old culture and those people who carried that culture will have left.
