The yoga mecca is part of this year’s Easter theme, “Hop into Healthy, Swing into Shape,” which is part of the first lady’s “Let’s Move!” program and will feature professional instructors.

And, don’t be surprises when Yoga starts encroaching upon our Christian culture.
I was able to separate it. I taught yoga for over 40 years. I was a practicing Catholic the entire time. I even went to Mass daily; still do.
I made yoga a discipline of stretching, strengthening, breathing and relaxing. I did talk about the culture of yoga as it pertains to India but made it very clear that if they wanted the India-stuff, I was the WRONG instructor for them.
I didn't lose many students in those four decades.
Won’t they be surprised when the Yoga “professionals” are standing there bored with nobody clamoring around them.

Yoga is not a religion. period. It is a breathing exercise while holding certain positions.It is neutral in “religion”.It can be used by any one who has whatever religion or someone with no religion.
To call it a religion is like saying doing crunches or touching your toes is religion. Or to take slow, deep breathes to relax is religion.
Just because some religions practice this, is not anymore “religious” than someone kneeling is Catholic.
