The article does not mention any recovered motor cycles, I wonder why?
In a few years they will have Abrams tanks to deploy in such situations, then they can flatten the house “to be safe in case someone has a firearm inside”. Of course that justification can be used anywhere as there are supposed to be 200+million firearms in the hands of the public so any home theoretically could have firearms. This would be a more novel approach. Surveil the home, wait till someone shows up with a or more than one motorcycle and then serve the search warrant.

probably found a roach in the home so that will justify all this.

Because motorcycle theft requires a military-like response. Besides, exposing the sheeple to all this training and military equipment in each County across the U.S.,will help easily convince them that Posse Comitatus is passé.

This is the problem with the feds giving away these vehicles to local LEOs.
Everyone is looking for an excuse to take it out to play.
Neighbor hears a scream next door, calls 911, and hear comes the war machine....to find a couple relaxing after an intimate moment....

It was an opportunity for police to see how well their newly acquired Lenco BearCat armored vehicle would performAfter more than an hour of searching, officers cleared the house. No one was inside, Lewis said.
Lewis said, so far, about 30 motorcycles across Polk, Orange and Hillsborough counties have been identified as stolen. No one has been arrested.
Oops...maybe they conveniently forgot to mention whether there were ANY MOTORCYCLES recovered. I'm sure this wasn't just the police joyriding and using this as intimidation against any "domestic terrorists".
They mention no people inside. They mention 30 motorcycles recovered across Polk, Orange and Hillsborough counties. But not one mention of motorcycles found in the house or garage after an hour of searching.
Must be damn small motorcycles they're looking for, if they were searching the house for them for an hour.

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.

we had information that the persons involved were armed Expect to see that phrase a lot, true or not, as justification to use this military equipment for basic warrants arrests that were made fine without them previously.

The problem I foresee is that the Law Enforcement departments are going to get too comfortable with their ‘toys’ and over confident in their abilities, and some nutcase with a grudge is going to scour the web and come up with the recipes for IED’s and put a whole new world of hurt on the Keystone Kops and their toys. What happened in Boston could be coming to a street near you.

Perfect ambush. Set up across the street from where the cops are supposed to investigate. They have no perimeter set or overwatch.
