Quinnipiac ^ | 04-24-2014

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky is the strongest candidate in Colorado in the 2016 presidential race, topping former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton 48 - 43 percent. There is a huge gender gap as men back the Republican Paul 55 - 35 percent while women go with the Democrat Clinton 50 - 40 percent. Independent voters back Paul 48 - 37 percent.

In other possible matchups:

Clinton ties New Jersey Gov. Christopher Christie 42 - 42 percent;
Clinton leads former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush 45 - 40 percent;
Clinton gets 45 percent to former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee's 44 percent.

Paul also has the highest favorability rating, 41 - 30 percent, edging Huckabee's 37 - 30 percent favorability. Clinton gets a divided 48 - 47 percent favorability, with Christie tilting slightly negative at 35 - 38 percent and Bush getting a negative 29 - 40 percent score.

"The road to the White House has many twists and turns, but right now, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul is the man to beat in Colorado," Malloy said.

Um PaulCruz, you might want to tell your ‘Paul’ half to quit criticizing Cruz, still babbling on about how Cruz was wrong on the shutdown, including the fact that this idiotic talking point is now considered Biblical truth among the young paulbot nation.

FoxNews seems to be pushing for Bush to be in the race.

[Any co-inky-dink that FoxNews employs Rove as a commentator?]

This morning, Hemmer was discussing Bush with Monica Crowley and Doug Shoen.

Had to chuckle ... Shoen said Bush would be a good choice —

The more Paul opens his mouth, the less I like what I hear from him. He seems to be trying to be all things to all people. That is the trouble with trying to be a 'big tent' candidate -- it is difficult to stand for anything.

“He seems to be trying to be all things to all people.”

Yep, he’s trying to be Stretch Armstrong; wrapping his arms around everything. Unfortunately when you tried pull Stretchs’ arm too far you ended up with nasty goo all over you.

I think mr. Paul is starting to spew goo.

You’re right. He’s trying to be all things to all people and geez haven’t we been down this road before? The more I see and hear of Rand Paul I’m convinced he should be a presidential candidate; for the Libertarian Party.

Same here. He's all over the place. Someone yesterday compared him to John Dean in that regard.

Nope, it just isn't you.

Bingo!

Rand Paul is the only candidate who beats Hillary.

He’s a threat.

That hit piece was written by a muslim blogger who hates Rand Paul. They are trying to destroy him but their efforts are backfiring.

Here's the thing about Paul you should remember - he will sign LAWS that will reign in Presidential powers - no other candidate will do that. For that alone, I will vote for him.

It may be a hit piece, but you can click on the thread link and watch the video and listen to what Paul said (actually, agreed with) that the Republicans are putting too much emphasis on voter fraud.

Actually he has done the opposite, he opposed DOMA restrictions that prevented the president and Executive branch from imposing gay marriage on the federal government, which vastly increased the expense and size of federal benefits for the military, federal employment and immigration.

EXCELLENT point. How do you run a poll in that state in the first place...considering everyone is basically wasted all of the time now.
