” - - - I’ve heard the claim that 53 other ranchers were driven out by the BLM. I’ve heard the claim that 52 other ranchers were driven out by the BLM. I have no doubt that ranchers were driven out of the area by the BLM. However, I’ve never seen anything that supports the claim that all ranchers who left the area were driven out by the BLM. Have you? - - - “

Yes I have.

You have heard the claim, but yes I have seen the detail facts on that. Totally spelled out, the papers BLM was forcing the other 50-odd ranchers to sign, the implications of what they were signing, and how it forced them out.

Bundy was wise to it and refused. You cant think BLM was being nice about it, do you? Those other ranchers were forced out, they did not go willingly.

We have a hero here, the last man standing.

He has opened Pandora’s Box on BLM, Reid, and all the other gestapo stuff going on. Texas and even all western states have sat up and taken notice - and are now in the process of doing things about what has been exposed - and headed toward them.

[Been trying to remember where I saw that - all kinds of factual details have been put out there - I try to follow real quick the ones I see, FR links to things and other sites, but cant recall everything.

I lose a bit of patience when people run on about things - that they dont know - but everybody else does - they just havent kept up with everything. Well, who can. But they ought to be told that they are missing things that everybody else already knows about. etc etc ]

((Do you know the whole story about the endangered tortoise farce - BLM was trying to pull. A little expose there revealed BLM *killed* a thousand (1000) of them. Why ? they didnt have enough money to feed them ! haha but how many vehicles and gunmen could they come up with to fight the Bundys - after giving hundreds of thousands of $$$$$ to get someone to rustle Bundy’s cattle and sell it OUT OF STATE ! ?

One can follow the smelly trail and KNOW FROM THEIR DEEDS they are UP TO NO GOOD ! ))

Sorry. I'll wait until you find the source to believe that.

Please go back and read your sources. The Desert Tortoise Conservation Center was specifically funded by fees paid by developers who 'disturbed' desert tortoise 'habitats' and by grazing fees paid by ranchers who grazed where desert tortoises were present.

When the recession hit and the housing boom collapsed, insufficient fees were being collected for the DTCC to remain in operation. Collected 'tortoise fees' were now approximately $290,000/year of a $1 million budget. Do you believe 'feed' was 71% of the DTCC's budget? No, the DTCC closed because it couldn't meet its overall budget.

When it closed, the Desert Tortoise Conservation Center released or adopted out its healthy tortoises. It euthanized the diseased tortoises and those deemed not capable of living in the wild, such as the injured and feeble tortoises. Saying the DTCC killed them because they couldn't feed them is a gross over-simplification.

The DTCC took in some desert tortoises that were relocated due to development, but most were former pets. The DTCC also took in diseased or injured tortoises and nurtured them back to health.

When the facility was closed, it released or adopted out its healthy tortoises; DTCC didn't kill them. However, the DTCC had been such a bad steward of its tortoises that 50-60% of them were diseased and more were deemed too feeble to survive. Those were euthanized because the entire facility couldn't meet its budget and not because the BLM couldn't feed them.
