"An elderly blind veteran crying in pain spent four hours and 45 minutes in the emergency room of the VA Medical Center in North Las Vegas before seeing a doctor in October, but federal inspectors said in a report Wednesday that such long waits were not unusual for patients at the hospital."

(snip) "Niccum died on Nov. 15 at a local hospice after a bout with a colon disorder. The Navy veteran had racked up 5,000 volunteer service hours helping veterans and staff at VA facilities."

Those who spat on our returning troops, and those whom they taught are the ones running our government. This is their way of getting one final jab at them. They show more compassion toward the enemy combatants at Gitmo than those who protect us.

5000 hours to help others and this happens to him.

Awful.

So sad for a blind veteran that had also spent so many volunteer hours. She deserved so much better.

“Dee Redwine, who accompanied Niccum to the medical center and stayed by her side that evening, said she was disappointed by the report, which she believes does not adequately capture her friend’s pain and confusion while awaiting care. She contends it glosses over rude and dismissive conduct by hospital staff toward Niccum during her struggles.”

I have been to the VA hospital in Detroit many times. The docs and nurses have all been great. Very professional and caring. The paper pushers are invariably fat, lazy, surly, unhelpful scumbags who do not wish to be bothered to actually do their job. Typical fedgov employees. I don’t know about other VA hospitals. IMO, all employees of VA should be vets. That simple requirement would solve most of the problems at VA.

baby boomers who as a group largely embraced/demanded abortion rights as part of free love/my choice crap, your progeny has learned far more about “burdens’ and they don’t just occur at the beginning of life. as you are all going to find out. they have learned far better from you than you could imagine. and you will see just how much.

note i’m saying explicitly i am not lumping boomers who aren’t pro-aborts in here. talking as a majority of that demo group here.

docs and nurses have to be highly trained and generally take pride in their abilities.

govt paper pushers, etc - are quota filled, affirmative action placements, not there for their personal expertise.

Americans will, must rise up against this communist/socialist/marxist/muzzie supporting govt. in OUR White House. Don't know when, don't know how, but when we Americans have had enough, we do something about it. I met a WWII vet, a pilot, recently. He spoke of all his buddies that were lost in WWII, and how they must not have died in vain...that we are in the fight of our lives to save this country, and we'd better become the “next greatest generation” and fight like hell, and take back this country. Amen.

The military owe barack some payback for the way he has treated them. When it's time to protect the ahole in OUR White house, they should just turn their backs on him.
