Oh, texting is a whole other topic. That should never be done driving, just like doing your makeup or things like that. I don’t have a problem with talking, but don’t let me catch you texting.

The guy in the next car over could be dealing with a family emergency.

I can understand that that person would be caught up in dealing with the family emergency. Which is all the more reason they should pull over and talk or test, rather than risk another family emergency for them and one for the people around them.

Where I see the flaw in the logic of jamming signals for those around you, is that those determined to make a call/send that test, will become fixated on doing that to the point they drive even worse.

I'm not even saying all cell phone users drive badly while they are using them. I am saying the worst drivers I have seen for quite a while have all been using their phones.

Pardon, but can you explain what kind of family emergency had to be dealt with by phone in that very moment rather then pulling off at the next exit and calling the person back or listening to a message?

“The guy in the next car over could be dealing with a family emergency.”

Guess it was worth a try. But no one’s buying.

Silly person didn’t realize that survival is against government policy.

This is the same sort of control-freak mentality that drives 65 mph in the left lane with ten cars bunched up behind them. I call them hall monitors.

I’ve called 911 to report the drunk driver ahead of me. I have a hands free.

I’ve often related this incident about farding: I was behind a woman on Cameron Street going into Harrisburg, PA in the morning rush hour. The lady in front of me was first in line at the red light in the left hand through lane. I watched as she pulled out her hairspray, looked into the mirror with a cigarette standing straight up in her mouth. All of a sudden a giant yellow flame ball flashed in the car and she was hysterically smothering the flames around her (which were out, the flash didn’t do much more than singe the curls) The light turned red and I went into left hand turn lane, got in front of her and continued on. The STUPID BURNS.

Possible in a few cases. In most cases however the cell phone users we see talk for 15 minutes plus and are usually laughing and not paying attention to their driving.

I’m guessing other drivers around you may have a lower opinion of your ability to talk and drive than do you.

Hang up and drive.

It would be “legal” if an agent of the government did it, though...

Nah, I have the highest rating on my insurance for safe driving, so I get the max discount, and I’ve never had any problems, I just watch what I’m doing and talk. It’s no different than talking to a passenger. People that drive with me also feel safe. Of course it’s a six inch lift three quarter ton for work, so I’d win anyways, but no scratches nothing else, because my brain has enough capacity to handle the load (little electrical reference for you).

Texting and driving is something I don’t do, and hate seeing, that’s dangerous. Talking is just overreaching government at work.

The company noticed that its cell phone tower sites had been experiencing interference during the morning and evening commutes.

This guy disrupted service for a lot more than just the drivers around him.
