Title shortened to meet posting requirements.
Full title: Russian Strategic Bombers On West Coast: Did They Take Down Los Angeles Air Traffic Control Systems?

Blame the U2? That would be typical. Is it credible? No. No U2 pilot would energize jamming pods (if they have them), over US airspace. Not ever.

Maybe or maybe not, However I expect the administration to cover up and lie about it.

Our military has been so debased that we can't even handle one conflagration at a time.
What happens if all our enemies coordinate moves at the same time? They know our Command and Control at the top is vapor-ware.

Hmmmm.... Makes more sense than a U2 mistake.

An Edwards rep said no such planes are assigned to Edwards, and a NASA rep said that none of their U-2 planes were flying on Wednesday.

I don't think this was even done during the height of the cold war. Now that we have an anti-American POTUS in charge who doesn't know squat about what is going on, this country is totally vulnerable to any tin horn that wants to take advantage of the situation, including Putin.

According to an NBC News investigation the outage was caused by the flyover of a U-2 spy plane. Apparently the 1950′s class spy plane entered LAX airspace at about 60,000 feet and its jamming systems crashed not only the primary air traffic control systems used to monitor...
Nonsense. Ask any commercial pilot flying in SoCal approach (Southern California) on that day and they will tell you that their GPS all shut down. Hundreds of commercial airliners lost their GPS - most likely due to some sort of jamming. I can say that in at least one case, the GPS jamming did damage as well. 2 out of 3 GPS receivers never came back online in a 4 hour flight (we also have laser inertial gyros, GPS only updates them).

This may sound implausible but with the obozo in the WH, Russia and or China have free rein to attack US interests without fear of any reprisal. I’d bet that Obozo would quietly cheer them on.

False flag IMO. It keeps the sheeple in line.

This is no different from a school yard bully scenario. The bully pushes the weaker kid and the one receiving the bullying keeps quiet in a false hope it will not happen again.
Putin sees nobama as very weak with no will to push back. That’s his best time to make a “show” move. Its about psychological domination, but still understanding that too much will generate the ire of American citizens who will push back, ask Japan.

I thought the U2 was replaced by the SR-71 Blackbird, which has been also retired. I don’t know if we replaced the SR-71 or we’re depending on satellites only.
Are we still flying the much older U2? Why retire the SR-71 and still fly its predecessor?

"Nonsense....GPS jamming...."
Whoa there....where are you getting this information?
I frequent the foremost aviation forums, and have seen virtually NO mention of such a thing.
Links or sources please.

More likely it was a Russian Blackjack or Blinder bomber.
To: melancholy
The U2 is still useful and MUCH cheaper to operate. SR-71missions are just this side of a space shot.

I doubt Putin wants to overthrow the US but he’s having fun playing with us. He laughed at Big Ears on day one and has been laughing every day since.
