Rising U.S. economy could help Democrats stave off election loss

Here's a riddle: Many Republicans deny it's happening. Some Democrats don't want to talk about it. What is it?

The answer is the growing U.S. economy, on pace to expand as much as 3.5 percent this year, about the best performance in the industrialized world. Unemployment has fallen from 10 percent to about 6.3 percent and consumer confidence is at a six-year high.

Better economic data could help persuade voters in November to look past President Barack Obama's weak approval ratings and his unpopular healthcare law and give Democrats enough lift to hold onto the Senate and limit their losses in the House, political strategists said.

You asked. And, no, you don’t matter.

Go hit something, you’ll feel better after having been exposed as a poseur.

LOL you amuse me, little tiny man. I asked one line, and you wrote an essay. No, I don't matter AT ALL to you, I'm BARELY in your head (all evening), *just* enough to keep you upset and responding over and over -- though I've told you I'm not interested in ANY conversation with you.

People I respect, I spend the time to answer well, and answer in detail. You, however: Do you know that once I figured out you weren't worth my time, I'd knock off a response in seconds? No bother putting any thought or effort into you.....

.....You know why, of course.

It is because you're an asshole. (12)

Uh, huh. Whatever you say.

Unfortunately, your problem remains that you’ve lost the argument. So, blather on without me, my job here is done.

Hey, check this: I *will* spend a few minutes on you after all, just fer shats -n- giggles.

Serious talk: Economics is not my field. Technology, esp. software, is. My stock market theory, quite possibly wrong, is that all the money invented by QE2 ... QE(n) is creating dollars that chase a (relatively) fixed number of stocks. Classic inflation.

So okay, so you come along. And maybe -- I've yet to see proof -- you DO have a prodigious level of economic knowledge. And maybe I *am* completely wrong in my thinking. Let us stipulate thus, for the purposes of this discussion.

So now you have a choice: You can write:

Gee, I wonder which response will get a more receptive response?

Maybe you aren't an asshole (13). Maybe you have Aspergers. These sort of responses you have typed are much more indicative of someone with either a clinical condition that prevents them from interacting well with others, or.... maybe you are just an asshole (14). :^)

Either way, consider how you might be a more positive member of Free Republic -- someone who can impart some knowledge (if you have some to impart) WITHOUT being an asshole (15).

... and maybe I did. I remain unconvinced; you've shown me nothing, yet. The difference is, *I* do not invest my self-worth and definition-of-self on whether or not I lost, or won, an argument on a topic that is not my specialty. :)

I shall go rest now. I hope you can see my point about how to relate better with others, WITHOUT your characteristic hostility and insults -- which, of course, it has amused me to return, in spades. :)
