If all Sears stores closed would anybody notice?
I wouldn’t miss Sears. There was a time when I bought almost everything from Sears — clothing, appliances, electronics... Same with my parents. Dad bought his lawnmower, tools and other guy stuff from Sears. The products were a good value and they lasted forever. Not anymore. Now it’s just like its sister chain, Kmart, only higher prices.
The other thing that bugs me is the bilingual signage throughout the store. I’m part Italian, part German. Where are signs in those languages?
I suppose I would as I have purchased tires there several times and tools a few times.
Beyond that I’ve never understood their floor setup, sales strategy, target market, etc. It seems to be a time warp of sorts with ‘departments’ haphazardly laid out.
It’s ironic that they have been stocking cheap Chinese tat for many years and are being driven out of business by so-called upscale retailers (physical and virtual) now selling the same rubbish.
