GOP mission: Name 3,000 things after Reagan (Mount Reagan, Grover Norquist)
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | May 13, 2014 | Carolyn Lochhead

Conservative activist Grover Norquist wants to name 3,000 things after Ronald Reagan. His next target is a small mountain in Democratic Sen. Harry Reid's home state.

The would-be Mount Reagan, at 3,366 feet, is not nearly the highest peak in Nevada. But it does overlook Las Vegas and, as such, would remind all who visit and live there of the former two-term California governor who went on to become president and lodestar of the Republican Party.

Nothing wrong with that, but there are many more important things to do.

Put Reagan on Mount Rushmore!

A republican president could use this as a distraction strategy for the Left. Propose a new Reagan memorial while proposing tax cuts.

I think it would be fitting if all those streets named after MLK were renamed after BHO.

This guy is trying desperately to salvage his name, or at least to fool people who haven’t heard of him before.

Moslem Brotherhood is right...

This guy is a fellow traveler of Obama.

Conservative? LOL

Exactly the way I see it and using the name of Ronald Reagan to do it.

In the future, you will see many public places named after Obama.

There are already a few schools named after Obama. And a new allegedly selective admission high school, planned in Chicago, is going to be named for Obama.

In the future, it could be that we will see Obama streets become just as common as Martin Luther King streets are.

What’s the point of naming things after Reagan if the GOP won’t follow his ideals?

Surprised he doesn’t want to name something after the Ayatollah Khomeini.

In Illinois, there is an highway named after Reagan. I think it’s a pay tollway. Do you think Reagan would approve of a pay toll highway?

This is my home area. I drive these roads all the time. One thing that surprises me is that I have never seen any of the signs vandalized.

His Santa Barbara Ranch should be a National Monument! His Face carved on to a Mountain Top as well (I volunteer someplace near his Simi Valley Library) His Hollywood home should be a monument as well. (as if that would ever happen in Liberal Hollywood).
